Of course most women would rather die than be with a short man. And most men don't really give a shit with rare exceptions. Gender roles...

But the interesting thing about my experience is that short or average women tend to be more adamant about height then women who are positively tall. I'm 5'6", and I've had about 4 girlfriends who were 5'9" and above. Only one that was 5'7". The other ones were all shorter than me.

A clear case of compensation. The rare cases of women who prefer short men, tend to be tall women from what I've seen.

I've had my share of women dwarfs 4'9"-5'2" telling me I'm too short for them, which is always pretty amusing to hear.

I've always considered anything less that 5'10" or so short.
