So today I woke up, took a shower, watched TV and then went to set up a small wireless network. I arrived to find they were having DSL issues. Shorten a long story the DSL only worked while the phone was in use, hang up the phone and the DSL would disconnet. I got the network part going but the DSL provider will have to show up to see what the hell is wrong outside the building. I rebooted a home computer with XP Pro and had them come get it. I ate Sonic trash for dinner since it was late and was too busy to cook. I cleaned my computer work area up a bit and moved things around. Now here I am. There is still a need to test 14 hd, 10 cd drives and 20 sticks of ram but frankly I dont have it in me to do so tonight. That is Jims life (Oh yea!)
The DSL phone thing is very strange; tell me when they figure it out. Just a stab in the dark but does the business have one of those automated switch board things that might be the cause of the problem. Also does DSL make use of the yellow and black wires or are they just for running two phone lines down one wire? I use the 2 unused phone wires to connect the living room stereo to the other stereos in the house. So I guess you could use them for anything.
