There are many traveling communities, but I want to start completely different one, not only on a differend kind of "Transportation"...who is able to understand will understand...it is good to to start a local community, to practice peace and love INSIDE it,not having bigger ambitions, that means that you already changed YOUR OWN WORLD, that is good, that is better than nothing, but only courageous ones are capable to try to attract and change others as well... I am talking about the community of the world, that would not belong to any particular country even in the direct meaning of the world...Call that an international village, or a village of patriots of the world, even citizens of the world, I am not afraid of this word, because internationalism is not in conflict with patriotism, on the contrary, it includes it... the name does not matter, the idea is dicisive here: All humans are brothers and they CAN and MUST live in peace and love with each other, and the planet itself...otherwise is not possible, otherwise is a suicide...where we go now is a cuicide, either by War, or by pollution of the nature...I want this community to be an example of that and since started, it will not stop, it will go on growing and will attract more and more people... How about starting with a Flotilla? A group of boats and ships that lash up for the night, communal meals and activities, look out for each other, travel the world, etc. Then if you want to work up to buying a scrapped oceanliner and refitting her, you have the manpower and resources. Nice idea!
I said it is not necessary, nor possible to start wit a flotilla))) one has ho start always from the beginning, nobody can start anything from the end... So a big oceanliner is not a beginning, it can't be!))) but a small cruiser, saiboat with an engine if necessary, is quite possible, thousand are not possible at the beginning, but 3 or 5 persons are possible...and I know even how to make this very community, even at the very beginning, self sufficient...
There's a couple of problems with your vision. First, crowd a bunch of people togther with little privacy and limited resources. This will get on the nerves of anyone after a time. The old sailors sometimes went mad because they couldn't get away from their fellow sailors. Where ya gonna go on a small boat? Second. Your vessel will have to be registered somewhere. Most countries won't allow you to land without it. All your people will need passports too. Vaccinations, etc. Fuel is very expensive. If you plan on crossing the ocean, you better get used to $20,000 fillups. And fuel quality varies from country to country. What happens if you get the bad stuff and your engine quits 100 miles offshore? What then? Lots to think about, but I admire your vision. x
