Anyone else wickedly disappointed by this show? Its has a great premise, but isn't living up to it! (copied from Wikipedia) The storyline revolves around the small, rural town of Jericho, Kansas and what happens to its residents in the aftermath of a nuclear explosion in nearby Denver which causes a loss of power and communications that leaves Jericho isolated. The reasons for the nuclear detonation are not immediately known. Cut off from the outside world after learning of a second explosion at Atlanta, facing rumors and fears of further attacks against other U.S. cities, and a breakdown of public order and the chain of command, the community must find some way to survive in the midst of panic and chaos. (basically, bombs go off in every major US city) The people in the show just aren't behaving realistically. No one is concerned about drinking water, for example. The last episode ended with the people of Jericho having a huge outdoor bbq!! This is, of course, after the radiation-filled rain had absorbed into the ground. WTF?

Well, I'm still enjoying the show and hoping that after the "simi-ok" first season that the second season will be better. But I do agree with you, they don't act like you would imagine. However, I'm very curious to just find out what it's all about, why the bombs exploded. I think that's the only thing that's holding me in. Kind of like Lost... I don't get it. I just want to find out what the big deal is.
I too watched Jerico, started recording from the second show on. Some of the situations made me laugh and shake my head. Like the one scene with hundreds of candles burning, what they have a warehouse full of paraffin and wicks for making more candles. Next how about the Saloon, no water or electricity and you notice the cocktails have ice cubes. What about Robert Hawkins, CIA, FBI, NSA ? Has the only working computer with satellite uplink to all government secured sites. May be we'll find out in season 2. You can watch the old shows on cbs.com ............Alaskan
CBS canceled the show, there is a huge blacklash and petition going around to bring it back. I loved the show, I never missed an episode and it was the only thing I watched on tv, now my tv just stays off.
Same here! i was way pissed when i turned on the tube and was face to face with Bob Barker for a Price is Right special! wtf? The series was just starting to get good with actually getting into the conspiracy behind the devastation and the rise of a 2nd civil war! Jericho and Lost were they only network shows i even watch, now it's just Lost. hope they bring it back or someone picks it up...
Jericho is one fo my favorite shows... Personally I think it gets more and more interested as the season goes. Ofc its been cancled and returned. Starting back up in February I think. Cant wait.
i was almost as bummed as when they canceled firefly and farscape. why must the good shows die in such a fashion, WHY!?!?!
It's coming back though I am not at all sure season two can be as good as season one. Killing Daddy wasn't a good move in my book. We shall see how they write it.
