Alright, this is the most wierd dream I ever had and it was this morning. The alarm had rung and it was 6:00 am in the morning, I didn't want to get up but I had to get up because I had some business at 7:00 am. So, I got up and went into the bathroom, turned on the shower and then the alarm rang again, then I woke up and realized that I was still in my bed and me taking a shower was a dream.

that kinda stuff happens a lot with daily tasks. dreams tend to be about things you think about all the time or strong emotions you feel alot, so dreaming about waking up and taking a shower is normal

it could have been an out of body experience? where your astral body leaves your phsysical body for a while, then returns later.

Its called a false awakening, and is infact a lucid dream (dream where your body is still parayised but your mind recreates a real world around itself).

You got it easy plenty of stories of people doing almost a whole days work before waking up! Also try not to goto the toilet if it happens again...

I've had that kind of dream, and I was going to the toilet in it...fortunately, I didn't go to the bathroom in the bed (smile!), but the dream was a warning to me that I did have to go to the bathroom badly, and, that if I didn't get up, I would be going in my bed in a big way. I did get up, in real life, and get to the toilet...just in time!

I have had similar dreams, usually where I am late for work or somewhere, I sometimes wake up in a panic thinking I really am late because I overslept :p

that happens to me all the time...i think it's because in your mind you KNOW you have to get up and take a shower, go to the bathroom, etc so your brain kind of tricks you into thinking you're actually doing it. One time I actually woke up in the shower at midnight..in a dream i thought it was morning! that was weird

You need to do a reality check to make sure your not dreaming, this might involve slowly trying to push your hand through a wall, or looking at a book, look away and when you look back the words could have changed.

BTW if you do a reality check each hour of the day (ask out loud or in your head "am I dreaming?") then eventually your sleeping mind will do the same in a real dream and you will instantly become lucid. When it first happens it can be like someone has plugged you into the mains, you feel a million dollars and your just staring around at the jaw dropping realism.

http://www.lucidcrossroads.co.uk/dreamlucid.htm this page has some examples of how real a lucid dream can be.
