I'm sick and tired of this women vs. men, men vs. women shit under the supposed pretense of "equality" garbage. Google feminism or men’s rights and none of anything you're likely to find has anything to do with equality.

What about a real god-damned HUMAN RIGHTS movement already??! Christ.

Every TV show you turn to makes some reference to the stupidity of the white man or diminishes women to nothing more then "desperate housewives". Feminism is about how horribly women have always been suppressed... well what about Joan of Arc? Cleopatra? Amelia Earhart? Ella Fitzgerald? Helen Keller? Mother Theresa? Sinead O’Connor? Suppressed are we??

Men, often but not limited to young white men, are diminished to stupid, spineless, no good wastes of life unless we all make $500,000 dollars a month, spend 80.1 percent on the women in our life, serve in the millitary, die for our country, hold open doors and pay the bills, please a women in bed any way she wants you too, and be shunned if asking for a blowjob because that's demeaning to women. Well, what about Leonardo da'Vinci, Bill freakin' Gates (prime example of the result of a weak nerdy white kid... you're probably sitting on one of his creations as you read this...), John Lennon (quit the music industry for 5 years to raise his son... aint that a prime example of masculinity?), James Dean, Bob Dylan, Jack Kerouac, what about Buddha or Jesus?

How, as a women, could you support the gangsta rap hip hop generation when it is vile and degrading to women. (eg. Necro, 50 cent ???)

When did it become acceptable for a women to be referred to as a b *tch?? When did it become a crime to be a loving mother? When did the definition of being a women become digging for gold, cars, and the steroid sippin’ asshole that’ll end up turnin’ ya into a “battered women” ??

Why is it that it is considered comical, or funny, when a woman slaps a man in the face or kicks him between the legs? (you see this on TV all the time, or in movies) Would it be equally funny if a guy slapped a women in the face or put his boot up her p*ssy? Ah right…that would be harassment… right?

When are we gonna quit our Opera magazine readin' Desperate Housewife watchin' Dr. Phill ass kissin' 50 cent listening gangsta pride gorilla mocking machismo pride rockin' feminist loving hating Necro preachin’ bullshit and opt for a truly equal HUMAN RIGHTS MOVEMENT???

Freedom and equality is forever only a day away.

Exactly... I noticed men really don't get it. Some women are backlash in our society, but there are a lot of progressive women. Who says they support the rap industry? I certainly do not support anything that degrades women the way you speak of... I don't watch lame television either, (well occasionally when I'm feeling too girly, but not often) those shows don't portray women how they actually are in most cases. The media is bullshit anyway. How women are portrayed by society is a big problem, and the government constantly trying to take away our rights... I don't think women and men are equal, but I'm thankful I don't live some place where it is completely dominated by men. But in America, the white man has always tried to rule everything. And I'm for all human rights, I think every human being should be equal.

So yeah just my thoughts... its hard for men to understand sometimes I've noticed.

his penis isn't the problem. it's the fact that he's doing exactly what he's accusing others of doing...being divisive. if he really wanted to approach the topic with an inclusive attitude, he wouldn't have posted this.

We need to stop thinking of Women, Blacks, Asians, Muslims, Martians and free-floating apparitions as "different" and just see them as people. Then maybe we can all get along.

OK then if you want to be viewed as different on a level playing field you're going to have to accept less pay than your peers.

I'm sorry, I meant CONTINUE to be paid less than your peers. And get me some coffee, ok?

See this is precisely what I mean... "let me apologize for his penis" is you speaking' up for equality right?? and "It's hard for men to understand sometimes" is not generalizing and sexually discriminating??

How am I being divisive when what I was ranting about last night is - in short - that I don’t appreciate it when my girlfriend is addressed as a "bitch" for example...or that by
speaking' up for my girlfriend, or any women, and defending her...I’m referred to as a
    feminist.

I live in New York City, where the hip hop culture is widely dominant and I see a lot of young girls around the city every day embracing it. My rant yesterday was simply about how I felt baffled by the fact that people so willingly and blindly submit to stereo types... I myself come from a very abuse childhood... and seeing anybody slapped in the face or kicked between the legs makes me feel disgusted...I don’t differentiate that between men or women... yet there's so many countless people that humor physical abuse and dismiss it as comical when it is subjugated towards men.

Now the response here is a prime example... you guys automatically jump on this post and proceed to put me down and bash my viewpoint about this topic and reduce me to simply just another stupid man, the penis is to blame.

It just saddens me that it has to be this way... I have no quarrel with any of you... but you'll hate me simply because I am a man and have a different viewpoint then you do.

Where does it say anything about me being against "equal pay" and ordering women to get me a coffee??

All I’m saying on that topic is when did it become wrong - IF - a women decides to be a loving caring mother instead of working' in an office. Either one is ok by me... but just the simple suggestion of valuing and nurturing the gift that nature blessed women with you see as an attack on women's rights. Just goes to show.

I love caring for my girlfriend/fiancé, I choose to be the gentlemen by choice out of love for her... I have nothing against it. But there is a difference to me in choosing to be so because of mutual respect and love and being obligated to by people like you that act like I should bow down to you simple because I have a c*ck "don’t understand" and that makes me inferior? In return for the respect and love I show my fiancé she loves and cares for me as well... when I offer her a seat on the subway and stand myself she refuses to sit unless there's 2 seats for the both of us...even if I insist...she's just the sweetest girl and does stuff like that of her own will...that's all I’m saying... why should either of us be criticized by that...and that viewpoint alone...in your eyes...warrants reducing me to nothing but a stupid male that thinks women should earn less and fetch me coffee??? How do you figure that?

Although I was a bit heated in my rant yesterday due to an incident that happened that day, what I was trying to say is simply a “Ying-Yang” approach to this subject. I absolutely respect the femenin, but choose to embrace my masculinity as well…but that by definition has become such a negative word. Meanwhile… I have the utmost love for my fiancé, and respect a women just as I would respect a man. I personally believe - and this is in no way an attack on anyone - that embracing our inherent natural instincts does not equal reducing one sex as inferior or promoting the other as dominant. I simply believe in a balance which includes embracing the Ying (or the feminine) as well as the Yang (the masculine). It is a purely spiritual thing to me.

The reason I was upset about all this is because it saddens me to see young women degrade themselves or taking the women’s movement as a certified right to hate and discriminate against men and the opposite is true for both men who allow themselves to be reduced to drones or the forget that the Yang is conjoined with the Ying, and in turn, the Ying with the Yang as well.

Just as it pains me when I hear young black kids refer to each other as n*ggers.

I’m really sorry to see this turn into another hate session… you’re right…I don’t understand what gives you the reason or right to reduce me to nothing but a stupid and insensitive man when you don’t even try to hear what I‘m saying. This is just a prime example.

One Love (and I mean that sincerely),

I'm confused... I think you might be misinterpreting things or maybe I misinterpreted your post. I wasn't trying to jump on you or put you down, honestly I have a lot of guy friends and some of them just don't understand how women aren't as equal as men. Your original post seemed to just be all over the place so maybe I didn't understand what you were trying to say.

I think its great you defend your girl and that you're against calling women derogatory names! And I agree with you, if a woman wants to spend time at home rather than work then thats her life. There are some people though who believe women shouldn't be equal though and some people that don't get it... women too, not just men.

So I wasn't trying to man-hating at all or be mean to you... I think we all just got confused or something? I know I did.

We just gotta stop generalizing groups of people, everyone is different.

anyone who posts a bunch of negative crap about feminists is gonna lose me right away. if you want to discuss male issues, do so. but slamming women working hard to better themselves is not the place to start.

At least YOU got my sense of humor.

When I posted "Let me apologize for his penis" I was trying for a humorous followup to "Some men just don't get it". It was not intended to be a sexual reference. The fact that some men don't get gender equality is a fact. Whether or not it applied to the OP. I don't know him. I made my point when I said that we need to stop dwelling on our differences because we won't acheive equality of ANYTHING until we do.

I'm sorry some of you don't get me.

That's a beautiful thing ms. BloodyNailPolish. Just goes to show, by your experience, how unusual that type of thing seems to most men. Equality?

That's exactly the type of thing my girlfriend would do... I have a lot of respect for women like you who think freely and equally in exchange for a simple smile of gratitude... and devoid of the inherant guidelines all of us are bred to believe and live by. Thank you.

    Hahahahaahha....

Dont know about that, I'd probably turn beet red, lol.
If you are ever in the neighborhood, do come to a show though
    and i'll serenade ya! haha.

I was rantin' and ravin' a bit when I started this post,
it was just a bad day and it's just kinda sad at times to see
people just degrade themselves and others for no reason other
then this sexual division the past generations have created...
It just seems so pointless and degenerative to me.

All you need is love i guess is what i'm saying, however cliche that
    might be, haha.

I added you on myspace and left you a comment, thanks for the
request! You're a sweety. Hope you dug the tunes somewhat.
