i dont know man...i just havent been feeling like myself. and there are just a number of negative situations and i went out tonight for the first time in ages just because i needed to get away from it all and i ended up just leaving the party and going back home, which is not like me at all. like everything is so fucked up and every day is the exact same thing and SOMETHING just needs to change ya know?? i feel very trapped. thats it basically :) so how are you doing on this lovely (freezing cold) evening?

I am doing great. Yeah I get you..you want change and excitement. Hmmmmm...well do something random like go for a walk right now or write a story...read a new book. Just do something new. As for the party thing who cares..parties are over rated. I would rather hang out with my friends than go to a party any day. Even if my friends are at a party I don't like it. I don't mind when people drink and people talk but the whole party scene just annoys me. I say Bundle up and go for a walk...or draw or just do something that will take you into another world.

It's never going to be simple...but you can have a good outlook on it though. Maybe if you are more specific I can help you more. Like more specific problems you are having.

Well for you I would just say think how awesome guatemala will be. But maybe you should communicate with your parents.

I'm serious, its just that easy. If you *think* you can't feel better, there is no way for you to feel better.

I've been on the same boat, everyone has. I decided I was going to try everything in my power to rise above such things, much meditation and selective use of da ganja and I realized that yea - it really is just that simple.

When I started off I would put myself in the role of an actor - an actor who was what I wanted to be. It didn't take long to realize that even if I was "acting", it was still me, then it clicked, just let it go. Don't search for a shoulder to cry on, be the shoulder.

I agree that its a state of mind...but I just think they need a little venting. Sometimes just being able to talk about it helps. But I think that your situation is only going to be as good as you make it.

Hahaha so are mine...it is really frustrating. I don't really have advice to give because I never win with my father if his mind is set. So I just don't try anymore...some things I just do anyway. Give me some examples of your parents not being fair?

Be your own man - do not let them influence your decisions in a negative way. That said, don't run out and party all day/night... be responsible... weigh all options and proceed.

Its tough to communicate with people like that, particularly when they are in a position of power... it is perhaps *impossible* to get across to your parents that they are closed minded.

    btw..

True peace comes from the inside out. Other people can't solve all your problems - what do you do when they aren't around?

Yeah power and a closed mind can be bad. But I still want to know how? I mean if you want to drink yourself to sleep or bring a girl home then what do you expect. Me and my dad got into an argument about insense and we both got pretty heated..his argument is its his house mine was basically swallow your pride and I'm not smoking or anything in my room. The lack of trust is hurtful.

Its his house, if the man doesn't want it smelling like incense don't burn the incense. State your case, if it doesn't mean anything to him, there is nothing you can do. Once again, its a person in power, your parent, and you honestly can't change that sort of mentality.

Its not gonna kill you to comprimise there, but there are some things you must stand for... something like your dad wanting to kick you out because you vote for Ron Paul (VOTE FOR RON PAUL!!!) is just not acceptable.

Haha well the insense thing was worked out he just didn't like one because it smelled like "weed." I just didn't like the fact that he doesn't trust me.

Tell him he can trust you, then be responsible and show him. Thats how parental respect is earned... thats what seperates the men from the boys.

If he doesn't trust you when you have given him every reason in the world to trust you, he's likely just an asshole... and given his position you can't do much to change that.

Well I am trustworthy and I don't do things that I shouldn't be for the most part....I pass on grass all the time. hahaha. But seriously when I go to parties I am the only one who doesn't drink and stuff like that. Not because of my dad but I just don't like it. He does let me go out on day's on end though. It's weird the things that the average american parent doesn't let their child do myu dad does...but things like watching seinfeld in his house he won't allow. Basically his rule is when you are not in my house you can do what you want. But the flaw with that is I don't want to leave and do something bad I just want to watch seinfeld without getting hassled.
