sweet concept man. lving off of fish, sea creatures, and what ever you can sell while at port..... reminds me of 100 000 leuges, that concept was very cool, I am my own..... sweet man. Ive explored the concept, and in a way its always been on the back shelf in my mind, though there are a few problems I havnt been able to work out, for one, mechanical issues on a boat can be deadly fast, as well as fuel for a large vessel is insane, I have a 20 ft thundercraft with a 165 hp chev merc in/outboard, getting accross lake ontario from north to south from the tip of pec to new york will cost me over 100 in fuel, bio mass is used in large frieghters, coming accross all this fuel would be a hassel, a sail boat would work great, still a leak would kill ya, and the initial cost of buying something large enough to sustain a crew would be enormous, a sea worthy ship would start ya at 40 grand for a piece of crap...I mean a large enough boat... a 40 ft would do maybe 4-5 people, tight quarters, you could do that for around 20-30 graND.... or maybe many 20 fters with 2 per boat sailing togther 1000 per boat...thats workable, and maybe safer if one has a leak others could take on there crew.... let me know about this, if your seriously interested in starting a sea tribe, I would definatley be interested in it. as well the THC could maybe help out with some crew....I dont know, if your serious, we should talk

I really do not want to lose you, you are very interesting... there are lots of things to discuss, you are right, but I do not say that this is easy, how it can be easy? but if Man wants something, everything is possible, for me, this question, "is something possible or not" does not exist, for me, there is another question-"whether I can do that or not" I am waiting...
Hi there, I am a 28 y.o film-maker from Israel. I have lived in a commune in Israel for a few years, and lately started wondering about it again. I'm planning to travel Europe over the next year, trying to visit as many communities and self-sustainable farms as I can. Your idea of a community on the sea sounds very interesting, as I've been constantly thinking about different ways to combine communal living and working the land, with travelling and being always on the move.
