It's like, I find no further need to ask the old hippies

Because I feel like I am the old hippie.
I've learned to tap into my past life and experiences...
And I've gained so much knowledge along the way...
I feel like I must be an old soul that's seen many things.

My most recent past life ended around 1971, on estimate, with a freak accident.
I remember a lot of feelings and happenings.
I miss those times dearly.

Hmm, it has to be. TONS of people call me an old soul because I live in the '60s and 70's. I ignore most things new, and know everything about the old times. Of course, Im very young. Reincarnation..?

 

I have been told that I have an old soul as well. It seems uncanny for us to have such a nostalgia and draw to an era that we have never known, at least in this life anyway. Its like I felt like I missed something special or Im longing to be back at that day in age....its so wierd. I cannot explain it, but Im sure you guys feel the same way, too.

BTW, any of you guys ever felt so sad or cried because of this feeling? I have.......maybe Im just weird like that.......

 

Not really, sometimes I fret at the fact that times were so much simpler. Street gangs werent big, people didnt die everyday. Drug dealing wasnt so violent. It seemed so much more calm. Heck, back in the day you could leave your door unlocked. In Orlando where I live, you leave a bike unlocked and it gets stolen within one hour.

yeah i know what you mean woodstock child. i have no interest in new music from today its like i'm stuck in yesterday. i love music from the late sixties to the early ninties. i love modern australian history. and stuff like countdown etc. they have this add on for time life and the're selling this cd for music from the sixties and seventies. its mad. they're playing janis, the guy who sang american pie, donovan, etc its mad! if i had a credit card i would have bought it. i wish i could go and see someone and know who i was in a past life.

I KNOW I was alive back then, because I am an old HIPPY, and did experience things back then! I still have vivid memories of my 60's/70's experiences. The PARTY 70's were really WILD, CRAZY and MOSTLY FUN! The 60's were good, because everyone was very neighborly, friendly, helpful and GENUINE, even non-Hippies! All neighbors knew each other and would always have "get togethers" for wholesome fun! It was the time-period, and not really any one group. All of my old 60's/70's neighbors still get together, even if they've moved in different places. It was like "friends for life". Magical Times!!!

The problem with remembering "those good old days", our memories seem to filter out the bad stuff. All times have equally good and bad things. Yes, the 60's/70's were mostly groovy, cool and fun, but then you have: the DETROIT 1967 riots, WASHINGTON D.C. riots, WATTS/LOS ANGELES riots, the horrible VIETNAM WAR, CIVIL RIGHTS MARCHES, the KENNEDY ASSASSINATION, the MADISON, WISCONSIN riots, and much 'billy-clubbing" of HIPPIES by "the PIGS". Crime is at a 30 year low here in Canada. The idea that more crime is going on each day is a myth, atleast in Canada. I dont follow America close enough but I would only hope you guys were able to do the same thing.
