    Hey folks,

I am currently at 00 and have been there for a little over 2 years now and I am thinking about making the progression to 1/2". Any thoughts, suggestions or advice towards making this move?

    Thanks

I was the same as you and it went totally fine. Just stop if your ear starts to bleed.

just take your time with it and you'll do fine, stretching, if done right, shouldn't hurt at all, only minor discomfort.

I said the same thing about 00-1/2", the 3/4", then I was contempt at 7/8" for a while, and now I'm at 1". I warn you...its addictive! lol

Not too bad. just go to 7/16" (They'll fit into your ear just fine after leaving 00 there for two years). then just wait a few months and then you can go to 1/2". Wont be too much of a hastle if you do it right. Right now I'm at 5/8" and Im leaving them there for the moment.

I am staying at 5/8 too. I had to lower my right ear back to 9/16 due to some trauma to the lobe, but I'll wait a few months till I can stretch again. The stupid flare on the right lobe keep slipping through at niight which sucks. I don't think I will ever go beyond 3/4.

ok well 00g - 1/2" is skipping a size, so youll want to go to 7/16" first. if you use a pair of single or no flare 7/16" and leave them in for several months, you should then be able to go to 1/2" with no discomfort. good luck, use lots of lube, and be gentle :)

A good indicater that shows you're ready to go to the next size is if you can comfortably slide the flared end of a single flared (or double) piece through the fistula. The flares typically are the next size up. Thats what I used mainly to go from 0g>00ga>7/16">1/2">9/16">5/8">3/4", then I tape stretched from 3/4">7/8" and from 7/8">1".

So my buddy had a 1/2" taper and for the hell of it I wanted to see how far it woudl go in. The taper went in with a breeze, no tightness, warmth or anything. Should I still hit up 7/16" first or am I safe to go to the 1/2"?
