Who is your stoner role model?

When you think of stoners (or druggies whatever the case may be) who comes to your mind (besides yourself?)

My former pot buddy. She can get high like nobody's business. She's been doing it for over 30 years, so she's a professional!

 

i portray most stoners as failures rolemodel wise tbh. i domnt know a single stoner that i would love to be like. but the closest is jorge cervantes, one of few smokers whom i would love to meet and be buddies with.

 

Well, you shouldn't. There are lots of stoners who do great things and live their lives quite normally. They aren't losers who sit on their ass all the time. I mean, there are some who do, but not all.

 

^ why would you want a rolemodel who is normal? normal life sucks, its when u want to get somewhere far that u start following rolemodels.

 

i dont know if you can call all people that have a successful living "stoners". i cant really think of a stoner rolemodel that i would like to be like just as mr.green said. i think that i would just like to be a good successful person that smokes. i dont think that everyone that smoked marijuana should be labeled as a "stoner" because when i think of a stoner its someone that has like everything revolve around pot. i think it would be better to have a good life and then smoke marijuana also.

what i meant to say was, dont try to be a successfull stoner, theres no such thing. instead be a succefull man/woman, who smokes weed.

 

I just think of a stoner as someone who smokes pot. A lot.

I didn't say I wanted to be normal, I was just saying a lot of stoners aren't unworthy of being rolemodels.

Anyone who wasn't happy and successful in their life, I wouldn't want as a role model. So if someone is a happy, successful stoner, why wouldn't I look up to them?

You are right there is no such thing as a successful stoner, but there is such a thing as the successful pothead. They are good at what they do, and what they do is smoke pot. They also have the hookup to get the greenery for little cash, and they have a high paying "botany" research job. Therefore, all of their life revolves around pot.

life isnt about pot. if you see it that way then fine, throw ur life away eating dominoes double pepperoni, sitting on petes couch and touching ur greasy and smelly dreads.

its funny i thought pot was life 2 yrs ago, my oppinion changed in less than few months, because like everything u get bored of it. if you can smoke for 30 years straight and say ur happy an love urlife, ur kinda not foollin any people. weed is good, but its not that good.

 

Not being cocky or anything like that, but do you not like potheads? Like I said I am not tring to be a dick and I am sorry if it sounded that way I am just wondering

 

like and sucess are 2 different things. a pothead isnt just someone who smokes weed, its the lifestyle. and almost every pothead u look at resembles another one. its repetitive and allthough might seem fun for a certain period- becomes boring and life consuming. eventually people face a question, am i happy and did pot bring me this? i dunno at the start of this year i faced this question and had to stop smoking. now i know what the issue was, its the ammount and how frequently i was smoking. i was a pothead, now im a guy who smokes weed sometimes. big difference. also just remember most of my posts are my oppinion, if it offends anyone anyhow - just remember something i keep telling ppl: explaining is better then just plain moaning. ppl learn from explanations, and oppinions change from knowledge and time =)

But just because someone smokes pot all the time does not mean it's their life. They can work a job, clean house, live life, have fun with people, etc.

It's their choice and because they choose to do so does not make them a bad, or boring, or sad person.

 

Oh no sorry man. I was just saying someones life could revolve around pot. My life is totally opposite lol. I just like some pot to make my life experiences a little brighter. Also dominoes is the worst pizza, oh my god. Yeah I know where the 30 year comment might have come from, but what if that person said, "Yes, my life has been pot, and through pot the rest of my life has been uplifted and ,therefore I have accomplished things." I could see someone saying that. I like to keep my living and smoking tied together in a big dread lock that I found half mutilated in a dominoes pizza box on Petes couch.

Just because my friend has been doing it for 30 years does not mean that is what her life is about. Her life is about living, and her life is about being a good mom to her kids. And I'm sure there's more that she cares about but I'm not in her head.

My only point is that somebody can smoke a lot without pot being their life. It's just a huge part of it.
