Hello every1. I am brand new on this site and I have a very serious question. About 2 years ago I had been a HUGE pothead. Smoking everyday and not thinking twice about it. Until the last time I smoked (2 yrs ago) When I took a small toke my heart starting racing (normal so far) but then my throat went completely numb and I started getting chest pains... This went on for at least 15 hours. Ever since then I have been paranoid to smoke anymore.. I want to, And have the ability to, but I am kinda scared of that junk I went through (not afraid of the heartrate, just the other junk). A friend of mine wants me to get smoked out with him and it will be his first time and mine since that "incodent". What should I do?

It sounds like you had some sort of anxiety attack or something.
My friend had an attack like that before and had to go to the hospital, but she is fine now and smokes all the time with me.

It was 2 years ago, you might be different now.. just try smoking a tiny bit, and if your heart starts racing again or you feel sick just don't smoke anymore and lay down or something

I think it's been long enough that you should be fine. I think people who smoke constantly (24/7) maybe shouldn't (or at least just take a break every once in awhile), just for health reasons. I'm not saying pot is bad for you, but I don't think that would've happened if you just toked up once a day or once a week (or took a break).

But then I don't know if you really were smoking that much.

On another note, do you have heart problems of any kind? Anxiety problems? That might be why.

If it is a good trip (and if you go into it looking forward to it and not paranoid, then it should be) it will probably be awesome after not smoking in two years.

I do have anxiety... This may be a stupid question, but if I get a buzz and I think it is going too strongly how do I break the buzz?

Just don't smoke too much. Since you haven't smoked in two years just take a few hits and see how you feel. I don't think there's any way to kill the buzz except just wait for it to wear down.

Lay down with a nice comfy blanket in a familiar place to start off because comfort level is definitely a factor on how your high will turn out. Just stay calm and think hell yeah I'm high and having a good ass time.

I know the answer to this myself, but the "new" person that is smoking with me tonight wants the opinion of everyone else... Is marijuana addictive?

Anything can be mentally addictive, meaning you think you need it to go about your day. Marijuana is not physically addicting in the way heroin is though.

Sounds like the pot was laced with something, and or you also had an anxiety attack. Which might of happened if you were paranoid?

I would try it again. Just smoke a little bit, wait 10 or 15 minutes and if you feel ok smoke more. Just make sure you're in a comfortable place where you won't feel paranoid or scared for any reason.

    Well you have 2 choices.
    Start smoking again.
    Or
    Never smoke again.

Just try it, and keep thinking happy thoughts. When you do, don't smoke a lot. You probably won't need to anyway to get high. Don't worry about it and just have fun, and make sure you have plenty of fun things to do.
