But bands I hate are MCR, Panic! At the Disco ect.....Basically most Emo bands, and most of the fans!!!

Influence my ass...all they influenced was shit...the Saints were said to have STOLE the ramones style...when actually they were playing it before(not to mention better)...the VU, Talking Heads, Television, New York Dolls, Patti Smith, and MC5...thats the real punk influence...those second rate sellouts influence these poser bands...Johnny Rotton and Sid were straight up idiots that couldnt play a note...

Lets say Shitknot was a band back in the day of Mayhem...and then Shitknot gets really big playing with their fast poser metal...and right after they put out their first album, Mayhem comes along and puts out Pure Fucking Armageddon across the pond and everyone says Shitknot started the hard metal movement...(hahahaha...completely disreguarded Venom )...hahahaha...

When you talk about punk influence you should know about the bands that really influenced the genre...not the ones that sold it out to make money...

 

Sometimes a genre is influenced by the sell outs. How many bands aren't influenced by Metallica for instance.
