i've come to the conclusion that this guy is the shit.

i was first introduced to his stuff when some friends brought over the dangerdoom cd....i was hooked....

and his other stuff is even better. way better, in fact. and he has some of the best hiphop instrumentals i've heard...

    thoughts? comments? concerns? queries? quips?

I think MF Dooms beats are pretty tight, I just listened to the Madvillany album the other day at work. Im not a hip hop fan for the most part but I respect talent. It was a good listen, madvillian has some lyrical skill.

I just started listening to him recently as well, I downloaded the MF Dope CD, and I was pretty impressed. I'd like to find some more of his stuff and his work as "madvillian" with that other guy.

I've been listening to doom ever since I started listening to hiphop, everything he does is amazing (except viktor vaughn 2, that album SUCKED). He's one of those guys that when you hear him, you know who it is right away.

I saw him last summer, one of the best shows I've been to, he had total control over the crowd, if he asked all of us to drink kool-ade spiked with cyanide every single person there woulda done it LOL.

IMO the only mc out there with a better flow is c-rayz walz, everyone else can't compare.

Aw man  VV2 sucked? What?! The best Doom tracks are on that and VV1 in my opinion.
"You on the battlefield with lyrical millitants, you know he feelin bent when he see little pink elephants, never forget, memorize the elements, keep the mic sterolized terrorise with elequence, and mellow eyelids..."
Well whatever I just love that album haha.
But yea I've been a Doom fan for a few years now, though lately I've sort of grown tired of him. He needs to hurry up with that VV3.
And 2 weeks ago Madlib did a show in Philly and came out just rappin, he didnt play any music at all. Dude was acting like he's Jay Z, very sad really. I used to love his music too, especially Yesterdays New Quintet.

yeah, i think he's got a very distinctive voice...a few times i've heard a song on a cd and just all of a sudden theres doom....very recognizable

Yea he is. Did you hear that track with RZA and Doom? Biochemical Equation I think? Its from like a year or two ago.
Its funny though, so many people got turned onto Doom from Dangermouse, but with me I was sort of turned off to him by that album. I dont know, I still like his music but I couldnt get into that one at all.

no i didnt hear that track, but it sounds like it could be pretty good....

and i loved the dangerdoom cd the first few times i heard it, but i've gotten pretty damn tired of it. i'd heard of him before, but had never heard enough to know much bout him...i almost went out a limb and got the madvillainy cd a while ago, but never did....wish i'd done it...

but yeah, i'm pretty tired of dangerdoom, but still it has some decent songs and for what it is i think its pretty decent even if it wears a bit thin after a while....

it wasnt my introduction to doom, but it might as well have been. prior to that i'd only heard one or two of his songs ever

Yea i mean its all about what sound you like. I always preferred madvilliany typr production, and the VV albums because Dooms production, honestly, gets old way too fast. Some beats are classics but most are just cut out cartoon music and comic book audio tapes mixed with soul and R&B  Dooms lyrics are great advant garde stuff, but the production by Insomniac Crew on VV2 is just insane.
