...Cereal's already $7 a box here. And it has been for some time. Even the cheap brands are close to $5 a bag. Good god, what's next for us???

^ No kidding. I practically live on cereal too. This sucks! Being a vegatarian, and not liking to take the time to cook, it's easier just to eat cereal!

We only buy our cereal from *evil shifty eyes* Wal-Mart and the dollar store. It's only 2.50 a box there. Who on earth would've figured that the grocery store would be such a bogus place to buy groceries?

Where is pressed_rat chiming in on the manditory "this is a control device"? This is specifically what he said would happen.

I had my first bowl of cereal in probably 6 months today, oddly enough. Its not something I eat much of, too $... I stick to tuna and ramon noodles... both of which I happen to actually really like and would eat even if they werent' cheap.

Speakin of which, its tuna and noodle time :)

I'm not sure how they stay in business... I don't understand the large disparity in prices... but its not uncommon. Dominicks/jewel are the main grocery stores around here... both of which propose great quality but they have mostly the same things. Its either walmart or whole foods - in between is just masochistic.

As a consumer you just can't avoid walmart, unless you are priveledged to be able to pay much more so you aren't around the common folk that browse the aisles of walmart because they are bored.

I'll be hittin up the super walmart tonight as a matter of fact.

Am I the only person here who has never really considered cereal expensive? :stunned:

I'm with ya... I have never bought cereal.

"Anyone who studies Bible prophecy probably turned to this scripture today. Basically, this verses says in the end generation it will cost a days wages to feed your family"

Did someone tell this guy (comment in the linked article) that this already happened quite some time ago? Its the bible beaters that WELCOME this sort of bullshit because it means its all going to end soon.

How about that book is full of random quotes, that can apply to anything if you stretch.

Btw, we are still talking pennies to pennies, yet they want to raise the price dollars... so that in the end I'm sure everyone involved will only profit *more* as a result.
