Nah... Im too lazy. I do like dramatic make up, for performances and stuff. I used to wear that at school every so often, but mostly with paint rather than actual make up
stopped wearing makeup in 1971 - still don't use it - last time was my wedding in '93!. My hubby doesn't like makeup either. And I don't shave under my arms or my legs or my crotch! I think shaving the crotch is stupid - we like pubic hair to play with!
wow I was reading these posts and I must say, I respect you girls so much for not feeling like you have to wear makeup to be beautiful! I on the other hand dont feel confident enough to leave the house without it
nope , aint never really wore makeup , even as a kid... i used to like perfumes but i can no longer tolerate the smell of anything other than something natural ... its all just too plasticated for me i spose
NO! Who knows what chemicals are in that shit first off, second, wearing makeup is for people who don't think they are beautiful by themselves. You are beautiful, and you don't need makeup to prove it. MAKEUP IS TESTED ON ANIMALS IN SOME PLACES!!!!!!!!!!!
If you can call it wearing makeup... usually I just wear blush and some chapstick. I used to wear more, though it was never a lot. Usually mascara, blush, powder and lipstick, (the usual for most women who aren't too high-maintenance). I was really self-conscious about my looks and I thought I needed it to look "right". Though I was never happy with the way I looked in makeup either. For a while I concluded that i just wasn't very good-looking. In the past couple of years I had started to notice the benefits of being natural, at least for me. I met some women who wear nothing and are completely beautiful to me, both inside and out. I started to hate the way I looked in makeup. Really, the black gunk on my eyes and the shiny gloss started to look way too plastic to me, and I realized that the person I would see in the mirror was not myself. Besides that I just wasn't very good at applying it. I kind of got tired of how long it was taking me to get ready. I started wearing just some soft blush, since I'm a pale girl, to bring some color to my cheeks, and I found that it looked wonderful. I looked like a completely different person than when I was wearing full makeup, but in a good way. I actually liked what I saw in the mirror. I felt prettier than I ever did with makeup. I don't think makeup befits me. It's not to say I see anything wrong with makeup, or with other girls wearing it. Though I do hate to see women who wear a shitload. I just think it looks ugly, and that they might be prettier if they didn't wear so much. Soft, natural makeup can actually benefit some women, but I don't think any woman requires it to be beautiful. Makeup can also be fun! I say to each their own: do what makes you feel comfortable and never do anything just because you feel like you have to. Every woman has beauty.
like others said, I don't wear makeup to enhance or cover up... usually as decoration. Same with hair dye.
I personally think that everyone looks better au naturel.....babe, you are so gorgeous!! Dont feel like you need to wear makeup to feel confident! You're beautiful just as you are!!
Usually, but not a lot. I have my 5 minute routine down. I think it helps at my age. When I was younger, I could get away without it, but now I look a little run down.
Thanks for all the beautiful comments ladies. I still am not wearing makeup, and it really makes me feel good to hear that I'm not the only one. It's funny, but everyday, I feel more okay with NOT wearing makeup. I think I made the right decision to stop wearing makeup. Thanks!! Keep the comments coming. Peace
I think I have seen you wear makeup once or twice in my whole life. =/ You could never keep makeup around tho..and your right you cant tolerate the smell of perfumes...hence why i get yelled at if i spray mine more than once =P...but yet you basically bathe in that weird smelly oil stuff that i cant spell
i wear makeup (only ever eyeliner, and sometimes mascara) on occasion, when i feel like it. i don't understand these folks who plaster on foundation and layers and layers every morning - i'd rather have the extra half an hour's sleep. I've been told by some people that "hippies" shouldn't wear makeup, shouldn't shave etc. but i go with what i feel like, cause in the end doing what people tell you to do because they've labelled they've labelled you as a certain thing, in a certain group, is simply subscribing to their stereotype.
that's gross and insane. why would anyone wish to put harmful chemicals in make up? I believe that I'm pretty safe. I recomend that if you still wish to wear make up, go to your local health and organic store, what I do, and buy your make up. most of it is made from plants!! although some is rather more expensive then your chemical infested store brand, it's worth the safety. I also shave, but that's mostly for peer reasons. :S
i usually do wear a little make-up, but reading all of these makes me want to try going without it for a while
My face always feels kinda dirty with makeup on it. Plus, I suck at putting it on...I end up with it all over my hands, and smeared over my face. Then I'll inadvertently rub my eyes or some such thing, and end up with even more smearing. Bahhh. I can't be bothered with it.
