    hey everybody I hugged amma,

    I'll tell the story

I find myself in new york city wearing a blanket and a remember be here now t shirt with my sister her boyfriend and his dad.

I walked into the places, and it a mad house, so much devotion, chanting meditation, singing bhajans... Im feeling the mystical oneness... I eventually venture off to the side of the stage really close to amma... I start laughing uncontroablly in bliss, after a while of this a woman comes up to me and says "are you crying or laughing?"

    I say "both"

when it comes time for my hug, I approach her, and I have a thought about hoping she is the real deal, because I got burned by a false guru, when she held me in her arms, and whispered "ram ram ram" she confirmed that my guru is neem karoli baba who taught everybody is the guru and all is one and all religions point the way... that was his mantra, I had been reading having visions and dreams and communicating to his picture all summer. He lives on through people like amma... she does justice to the word GURU

Hey GP! Its great to see you back! She whispered Rama's sweet name to you? That's so cool. I thought she just always said, "My daughter/son" like a bunch of times when she squeezes you tight. :)

Her hug is really nice...I started to hug back but I felt like she was my grandmother and I just let go in her arms...it was one second and eternity at once...

oh wow.. when she hugged me, i heard her say "my rule, my rule, my rule" i took it to mean i should just let "god" rule and stop trying to control things. the weirdest thing about this is that my daughter hugged her at the say time BUT when amma whispered to us my daughter heard her say "flowers, flowers, flowers" ... i'm still on a blissful high from that whole night and this week has been amazing and only getting better and better!

I have never met her but I cooked for a fundraising for her and we raised 14,000 dollars for her to give to Clinton-Bush Katrina aid.

I hugged her in Madras 4-5 years ago. It was beautiful, my experience was a lot like what Niole said - eternity in a moment. It was hot and sweaty and crowded and icky in so many ways at the hall, but for that moment, I was dipped in the cool embrace of Amma, whispering in Tamil, "My beloved son..." It was just her and me for that instant...

I already have my Guru, but I have great respect and shraddha for her.
