Any other runners here?

    What do you smoke out of to prevent the smoke from being too harsh on your lungs, stealing your wind? Joints have worked way better for blunts for me, and bowls better than blunts, and I assume that a bong would be even better.

    Can anyone confirm this, or tell me how else I could smoke to avoid it from limiting my lung capacity? I already know about vaporizers, but I'm not a fan of lightbulb ones, and am not sure I want to spend a lot of cash on a regular one. Also, when scraping a bowl for resin, how do you guys then collect it to smoke? My method of wiping it onto tissue paper and then smoking that has proved easy, but way too harsh on the lungs.

    well if your really committed to running, than don't smoke. otherwise i'd just buy a vaorizer or eat the pot.

    Bongs work better for your lungs. Especially ones that you can put ice in. It's really really cool and smooth then.

    Unless you take way too big of a rip and destroy your lungs. Anything with water should be better to smoke out of. If you do really want to smoke a lot though and are worried about your lungs, then you should buy a nice vape. It is a good investment and then you become the guy that has that "expensive vaporizer thing" and everyone will want to smoke with you. Not to mention that you will get more active THC out of a vaporizer.

    Actually I smoke daily and am in cross country and ever since I've started smoking I noticed my times to get better and better. Wierd thing is my lungs never get tired now only my body so I could basically run forever. I also have extremely fast recovery times now to, so I guess to each his own as to how much smoking effects you.

    I usually run every night and smoke right before I go if I can, I really enjoy running high. Personally I don't really notice any difference with just weed, if I for some reason I smoke cigarrettes for a few days in a row then I really start to notice a difference. I guess if it affects you as mentioned before use a bong with icewater or a vape.

    On a similar thread, I play sax for my school (bass is my main instrument) and any wind instrument requires a lot of lung power. At first when I started smoking I thought that it would destroy my lungs, but nothing has really changed. Any tough exercise for the lungs such as running or playing a wind instrument here and there keeps them very healthy despite running some smoke through the old lungs here and there. Now cigarettes on the other hand...

    the best thing i've come across for the lungs is the clear rolling papers. i think they're called "Glass". they are made out of cellulose or something like that. they are a little tough to roll, especially when you're already high. but if you can roll a decent blunt you should be ok. you gotta watch out though becuase when you hit it you don't realize how much you already breathed in cause you can barely feel it, so you have to take small slow rips.

    Thanks for the help guys. For now Ill just make sure I keep exercising regurally and take smoking out of my bowl slow. I will consider getting a nice bong or vape in the future.
    You don't think we speak in code about that stuff? jk haha

    I do taekwondo, and smoking kills my lungs. Recently I have been doing breathing exercises before I go to bed, and it helps a ton.

    Take deep breathes expanding your lungs to their maximum capacity, and hold your breath till you can't anymore. Do that 5 times before bed. It helps me a lot lately.
