Whoa, a blast from the past. It was one of the killer smokes of its' era, but that was then, this is now. Most any good bud nowadays is better than what yer mom was smoking back then. progress.

Being that I wasn't born in that era, I don't have personal experience. However, I have a geezer toker friend/father of my best childhood friend who said it was the best of the best in its day.

He said its a really heady outdoor strain that they wrapped in hemp twine, dipped in hash oil, and let dry.

The strain that thai sticks were made from was not very commercially appealling. The buds were just tiny little things- altho the plant produced an awful lot of them.
They grew to about 18-20 ft. tall . The buds were tied to the stems of the plant to make it look more appealling, like a large bud ~ and it was definitely the best of the best. The strains stone had a really high ceiling and buds were completely covered in trichromes. If you smoked too much, the stone was incredible. You would hallucinate. That is why alot of people believed that the sticks were soaked in opium. Ahhhhh- the gool ol' days! You just can't find anything as good commercially these days as the thai sticks!
