So I've been going to life drawing sessions for a few yearsw now, mostly alternating between pencil and charcoal. Lately I've been experimenting with different media. Here's a couple of examples in conte crayon, drawn on A2 cartridge paper.
One week our model didn't turn up; but it turned out that one of the regulars is also a professional model, and he agreed to sit for a portrait. It's rare to get the chance to draw someone who's willing and able to sit still for an hour or so, and I'd like to do more of it.
I'm a big fan of drawing nudes, oo errrrr!!!! It's a good discipline as everyone can see your mistakes. The only trouble is I haven't been to a life drawing session of a lot of years now, but here's one I did earlier. This is A1 coloured paper with conte sticks.
roffa and mellowthyme those are really brilliant i always admire anyone who can draw as i'm so rubbish at it myself.
