iTunes really sucks, however, I have to use it because I have a Ipod.

 

For the cable it depends on your video card. If your card comes with a composite or analog video connection it is quite easy to connect it to a standard definition tv. Some tvs even have vga hookups and then you use a vga-vga cable or a dvi-vga cable. HD tvs use hdmi and then you can buy a dvi-hdmi cable, which will be more expensive, but it will transmit in hd. I think there are vga-composite video cables out there also, but I am not sure.
