i don't think i'll join your group, i think i'll make a group to rival yours and beat it in every election you run in! or, i will in fact join and then i'll start stirring up hatred between the members, create a faction or three and then spread stories to all the tabloids of the sex pacts and animal molesting that went on and leave your reputations in the dirt. i am a marmite lover. it is the food of the gods. i'm also one of the rare people that like bovril. expecially chicken bovril. i don't know how it came about. sorry. *feels like a disappointment* i wish i did though. i know that it used to be made from the waste yeast produced in the brewing of guinness though! yeah. that was a boring fact. sorry about that. that was such a sweet tale. poor mayonnaise, such a lovely fellow. and i think marmaionaise is very catchy. i'd buy it. the senses of sight, sound, touch, taste and smell. plus an immaculate fashion sense, a sense of decency, a sense of urgency (hurry up!!), and a neverending sense of wonder. so that makes...nine. yes, yes it was.
GASP SHOCK HORROR do you have any idea how much your stirring up the hatred, spread stories and beating us in elections hurt me?? Nerthus: nope nor do i care BWAHAHAHAHA all i need is a single purple screw to finish my thinymabob and soon i shall TAKE OVER THE WORLD!!! muahahahahaha checkout dude: listen lady do you have a clubcard or not? nerthus: *snarls* me: im glad you dont know because it hasnt happened yet and in the words of iluvmusic "that would be strange"!! iluvmusic: GO AWAY ME YOU FREAK!!! *me saunters off* iluvmusic: that kid drive moi mad. do you think saunters is an awesome word? do you hate the word awesome?
fuck no. what do you take me for?? i very much hope that you didn't! i know leon won though. just knowing anything about it makes me cry with shame.
haha i have a theory (i didnt watch it though) leona won leon won next leo will win then Le then l then everyone will hate Simon Cowell (who will naturally of taken over TV) and x factor is out of buisness.. do you have a myspace? or facebook? or bebo?
i agree entirely with your theory. it makes so much sense now you point it out! i have all three: http://www.myspace.com/izanami7 http://www.bebo.com/izanami7 and my full name is Holly Robbins
Hi, welcome to the forums, etc. A lot of people (them doing Law, Medicine and the like especially) think Norse, Anglo-Saxon and Viking is a completely useless course. What would you say to them to try and convince them otherwise? (Not that I feel that way, ancient languages fucking rock, just playing devil's advocate here). Oh, and I'm in Cambridge as well, first year. I'm at Anglia Ruskin though, the OTHER Cambridge university I think King's college is about 5 minutes walk away (half an hour from my house). Oh, and it says on your bebo thing (not entirely sure what that is) that you're into Lou reed. Was he better with The Velvet Underground or after he left them? What's your fave Lou reed song? And if you're into Velvet Underground as well, what do you think of the version of heroin without Lou reed on it (personally I think it's shite). EDIT: Oh, and Oscar Wilde is awesome as well
Please, if you got some piece of humanism, do not laugh, help to this poor child as you can. http://deniska-alare.narod.ru/index_eng.html
i wouldn't they're probably right. i wouldn't say it's completely useless actually, if they think it is then what about other kinds of history? should we just forget about what happened before now? anyway, those law, politics, medicine and english students all owe a hell of a lot to the vikings, anglo-saxons and celts! i'd just remind them that... awesome, if by some miracle i get into cambridge expect a visit from me! personally i prefer lou reed on his own, although to be fair that's probably just because i listen to him more... new york is an amaaazing album, probably my favourite as a whole rather than just one song on it. hmm.. yeah i can't choose a song. i haven't heard the version without lou reed. i shall look it up and report back to you.. and oscar wilde is great yep..if he wasn't gay and dead i'd marry him!
He died a long while ago.. caught pneumonia or tuberculosis (I think) when he was sent to prison for having an affair with a man.
poor guy. anyone seen the film with stephen fry? think it's just called wilde or something. looks good! plus fry is blatantly the reincarnation of oscar wilde, couldn't think of a better match.
Er.. big and fat versus slim and snappily dressed? But they do have a similar brand of wit.. If Stephen Fry lost a few stone, put on a velvet frock coat and grew his hair shoulder length... he might look a bit like Oscar Wilde if you squinted a bit. But seriously, he's great. Ever seen QI?
i meant in wit and personality yeah you're right about the looks... of course, it's an awesome program!fry and alan davies make it but it's also the only one of those comedy panel shows that always has at least one or two brilliant guest appearances. some of the others aren't so consistent. it's a shame jimmy carr's on there so often.
What's wrong with jimmy Carr? But then again I am a sarcastic bastard by nature so I find him abusive but darkly funny. Which do you think is more important, success (however you define it) or the good thoughts of other people?
this is what's wrong with jimmy carr: "what's the difference between football and rape? ...women don't like football." i can watch him for a bit, maybe twenty minutes, and then he just becomes very very infuriating. i like sarcasm but male chauvinist arseholes just aren't my thing.saying that, i'm probably just over-sensitive, as i know lots of people who love him. well it really does depend what you consider success. if you're trying to solve world poverty then i'd say success is definitely good, but if you mean the kind that can be measured by how much you earn then good thoughts from others are better. mainly because people are real and money is just an abstract idea. friends are nice.
