hellooees to ya... well wel .. im thinking to travel to bali as the winter m,oves in... just wanted to know if anyone has been out there.. and any recomendations ?? .. prefably of non-sumo packed touristy hives:$ ( i been workin in a hostel.. and now all i wana do is escape faaar away from tourists! ) .. ummm also ive been lookin around to find the cheapest flights.. but they mostly soundin really costy.. can anyone suggest an airline or alternative route that will make it cheaper?? .. i heard briefly a place to fly to beginning with J .. indonesia gateway.. and then to drive and ferry along.. ??? absolutly anything.. suggestions i'll be v happy for.. thankyouuu x
J? Could be Jakarta the capital or Jogyakarta which is in central java. My family drove to Bali from Jakarta. Took us maybe 3 days then we ferried there. I love Bali. Only thing I feel is that its too tourisy if you know what I mean. The whole island is centered around tourism. There are two main beaches. Kuta and Sanur. Kuta is where almost everybody goes. Sanur is less crowded. You might want to check out Lombok which is the neighbour island. It is about 5 years behind Bali in terms of tourism. But Bali is so cool for partying. Just my two cents worth from living in Indonesia for 16 years.
