Hey, Gal and I bought a toy just for our bums since her vibrator is ribbed and not always so pleasant. It's small (about two fingers) and made of a flexy silicone material. We cleaned it well with soap and hot water but it still burns our bums! At first we thought it was the new KY warming lube, but not so. It's not unbearable for me as long as it's not in too long, but she doesn't like it at all. I'm hesitant to return a used toy, but this is obviously not right. Anyone else experienced this with silicone?
It's the KY! I used that lube (comes in a little silver spray bottle, right?) and it burned SOOO bad. I think it's oil-based. It made regular sex really painful til it wore off. Ick. And then the guy tried going down on me and said the lube tasted awful, but he did it anyway. Ick.
get a toy designed to go in your butt. at the sex shop, ask which lube theyd recommend to go with the anal toy
its def the lube. My gf and I had a mishap with that during normal sex. Idk what would feel worse-having that warming lube up your ass or in ur peehole!
I forgot to mention that the toy also burned her pussy (way ouchier than the bum!!)when we tried it there first, so it's not an anal-specific issue. Maybe the lube reacts differently with this material, but we've used it with our other silicone toy and my cock with no problems at all. Weird.
I dont think you can return a used toy. Try a different lube, and if that doesn't work buy a new toy made from a different material. Some people like silicone, jelly or plastic, so just find what works for you and your partner.
I'm betting its the toy. Slip a condom on it. I have the same issue with a couple toys. Please be careful using anything other than plain water base lubes when playing anally. Remember, you want to know if something hurts. One of the last places you want to end up is in the ER with a nurse saying "ok, I'm going to irrigate the area and see how much damage there is".
Good luck returning a toy, generally the answer is NO!. Once it leaves the store it is yours, for better or worse. Personally, I think this is a good policy. Who wants to shop at a store that might have returned used toys??? If it is a silicon toy, make sure that you ARE NOT using a silicon based lube. Silicone lube will break down the silicon material of the toy, degrading the toy and possibly causing a reaction with you. That may continue for a while, even after you stopped using that lube. Ditto the recommendation above to just slip a condom over it.
