does anyone know a good skirt pattern? i saw some hippyish skirts (thats the best way i can describe them), the long, looe kind and i wanted to buy them but the price was outragious, so im gonna make my own. anyone have a good pattern for it?
well sweetie i just made one today!!! and it was sooo easy...it is a long paneled patchwork skirt w/ a drawstring and a hem..that's it ! it took me like four hours total....and i luv it..here is a link to a photo... http://www.hipgallery.com/photopost2/showphoto.php/photo/16305/password/399ab9cb21c117cdb6cbc5d15c4b7e94/sort/1/cat/500/page/1 what u do it measure ur waist and from the floor to ur waist..i left a 2 inch seam allowance.. then i decided how many panels i wanted and divided it into my waist measurement plus a few inches so that i could get it on... then i decided how big around i wanted the bottom of the skirt...i went w/ like sixty...so i could dance in it... then i angled the panels from the small measurement to the large measurement like a a shape...leaving a seam allowence of course.. then i sereged all the pieces togher...put on a waist band and a hem...that's it! if u have any questions pm me...
