I was actually about to post this same question in a new thread. I'm glad I scrolled through all the pages. I just moved to Springfield after my college experience down in Carbondale. I'm glad to see there is at least one other "hip" person up this way. Peace out and have a good one.

Just saying hey to all Ill peeps... Used to live in SPFLD/CBNDL/ALTON...never go near "Lincolnland" any more....Way too provincial in attitude as well as way too much police pressure..............
Just last weekend there was an article in the SJR about the jails being overcrowded. One of the officials attributed part of the overcrowding to the success of the DIRT team (sorry, I don't know what exactly it stands for; but it has to do with drug irradification) Wonder if this will help get mj at least quasi legal so that they quit filling up the cells with people just chilling smoking a j.....sadly, I doubt it.
