"LSD may cause mild "flashbacks" (IMHO a misuse of the word) which is really
just state-dependent learning. Users sometimes can get themselves into a
slightly shifted perspective when a stimulus is similar to one experienced
while on LSD, or if one is familiar enough with the LSD state they can
sometimes create this mild perspective shift themself."

I don't understand this, I don't think. What does it mean, get yourself into a slighty shifted perspective, and what does he mean by stimulus? Perspective as in what, your thinking, or your vision? Maybe it's because it's 4am, but I don't understand :(

The person is really just scared of the term flashback and so he/she is trying to write his way around it... I don't think there is anything to understand except that sometimes users of LSD, especially heavy users, SOMETIMES experience perceptions similar to those experienced long after LSD is out of the system. This can take the form of HPPD, which is essentially lingering visual distortions, or more panic-attach styled dissociative flashbacks. There aren't many people who have real problems with this, and most who do are/were heavy users who experience HPPD, which, according to most people, isn't a big deal as long as the case is not too extreme.

lsd caused a magnificent shift in perspective/perception for myself. I have only dosed once, about 3 and half months ago. Ever since I tripped acid, everything looks like it has the basic acid trip vibe to it. Especially at night. I appreciate art and nature a lot more now as well. Lights and other random objects all look like im tripping acid. It is cool although I didn't think after dosing once I would be left with permanent effects.

Yo bro, im from israel and the i live in maryland i havent visited israel in 6 years and last time i was here (in israel) i remember my family as regular not wierd not trippy just regular really old fashioned.

    but i was wrong!
LOL some trippy ass shit happened, and i had a flashback like CRAZY (i never did acid, only mushrooms and a lot of weed)

i was talking to my grandfather about psychology and bout the human eye and thought process and shit and he told me "the human eye is crazy, i drove myself pretty crazy a few times to the point where i had to go to the therapist for help" he said "your eyeball percieves the color Red as Red, but to someone else Red might be Orange or Blue or Green and thats all they ever knew Red as, thats how they first precieved Red and the same applies to other colors"

try to understand that, it put me in a terrible place of paranoia and crazyness i got a stomacke acke and went to the bathroom (which is very tiny with flower patters all over) and i fuckin had a flashback and felt alll crazy as shit!

peace lol tell me what u think.

also i was thinking that if that can apply to colors it could apply to object and even to humans in general, maybe u see ur freind as a certain character but he sees you as a completely different character which is defined to him as 'human' u kno what i mean?!

heres something to help me explain: every persons brain translates his perceptions, and lets say the perceptions are numbers (every color is a different number and so on), so every person adds up different numbers from his perception and all the numbers add up to the same outcome which is for example a TREE a Human and Dog or what ever. but what u percieve as a tree might look completely DIFFERENT to what someone else percieves as a treee, TRY TO UNDERSTAND THIS.
