falafel sandwich is ALWAYS a winner...conch fritters would be awesome, too, though i've never had them stoned. anything barbecue is great, usually....asian pears....i really like homemade guacamole or mashed beans with tortilla chips, and i also make good salsa sometimes....anything with lots of garlic....most things that are just a little bit spicy....pink lady apples, grapefruits, oranges, tangerines, yogurt, and lentil soup.....pot roasts are great, and i'm particularly fond of pork roast covered in black pepper and cooked in apple juice with garlic and onions in the crockpot..its sweet, savory, and moist... oh, and boneless buffalo wings are the shit, as are toasted veggie subs and also beef or cheese enchiladas.
i think dark chocolate is just about the best candy there is, personally. lindt makes some good dark chocolate bars...i'm partial to the single origin chocolates, the ecuador and madagascar. i think they also make a cuban one, but unfortunately i live in the land of the free so i can't enjoy products that come from certain countries. i also like this bar made by some company called dagoba that contains cocoa nibs (bits of cocoa beans) and hot chilli peppers....its called xocolatl or something, and i guess is inspired by traditional native chocolatet preparations....used to be made into a spicy drink rather than chocolate as we know it today.....this stuff is more like what we know today, but with a nice spicy kick to it....i love this stuff. havent tried their other chocolates yet, but i intend to. http://www.worldwidechocolate.com/shop_dagoba_xocolatl.html
airheads. def made for stoners, take a bite and let it stick to the roof of your mouth and smoke with it in, mmmmmmmmm
I love food in general when Im high and I usually dont want to eat a lot of food, but taste a lot of different flavors. I just love the same food I eat normally, but I'm able to enjoy it so much more. I like fruits, like mango, tangerines, green grapes, watermelon. They are so yummy and fresh. I love juices like smoothies, back in Ottawa there's this place called Booster Juice, they make this one with banana and yogurt and I dont remember, because I'm usually high when I get it, but it's good. I had another there with Mango too. I love falafels and hummus. My mom actually knows how to make hummus because a friend of her showed her, and it's the best. I should learn how to make it, because it's really simple. I love pita bread, that's like my life. I have it with everything. I make this salad with beans, chickpeas, mozzarella, tomatoes and onions with this olive oil, lemon, salt and pepper dressing and I make pita sandwiches with it. I love it. I need to stop talking about food, is making me hungry
don't just link to another thread for this one! everyone has different tastes, and they change (especially with the seasons) in june i like ice cream, in december its cookies. eggs in a nest, and my own "not quite french toast" or fried pancakes, or dinner, or funky calzones, almost chicken cordon bleu (because it is really so stupid-simple to make), fried or scrambled egg sandwiches, PB and J sandwiches, or ham. mmmmmmmm I like to be inventive in the kitchen....
hummus is very, very easy to make with a food processor! a can or two of chickpeas. canned is best for making it quickly, as you can enjoy it immediately after you make it, and requires no previous soaking and boiling. add to the chickpeas a good amount of tahini. you may use premade jarred tahini (a sauce made from sesame seeds) this is all you REALLY need to make hummus! but there are other good things to put in there, too. garlic is wonderful and in my opinion a virtual necessity, though i could eat it without garlic. i dont know if hot peppers are traditional, but it would add a nice zing to it. cumin may also not be traditional but would be surely delicious. salt isnt inappropriate, but in my opinion its also unnecessary. a touch of olive oil may be ok. some veggies like onion or red bell pepper or something may also be nice to add. mix it all up in a food processor. a blender doesnt work very well, it comes out too chunky. if it doesnt blend well enough add more tahini or else a small quantity of olive oil. its quick and easy, and very, very delicious. a simple hummus made with a can of chickpeas, a small quantity of tahini and olive oil, and some garlic (i prefer fresh) is cheap and delicious, not to mention a very healthy foodstuff. i like both warm, soft pitas and tortilla chips for it. if you want a presentation more akin to what you get in many restaraunts, top the hummus with some fresh diced tomatoes, olive oil, and a healthy dose of paprika.
wow man from what i've read from you, you seem to be quite the cook! i saw your little deep dish thing too. must be convinient in those times of hunger
^^ Yeah, I'm thinking he's an undercover chef  Edit: Nesta, you and Jadesmom should team up to feed us hungry stoners haha
i can cook and make edible food for myself, but i would never pass as a cook for a fancy restaraunt. my presentation is usually awful. but i enjoy cooking, and can make a good meal if i have money to spend on ingredients. if i have ingredients, tools, and the time and desire to cook something good, i can often make some pretty damn good stuff. but i also have a lot of mistakes and botched experiments when i try something new. but that doesnt bother me, and i usually eat it anyway so long as its still nourishing. it reminds me of what i was told early when i first started being interested in photography: the best photographers often have the fullest trash cans. i feel the same about amature cooking....sometimes i fuck it up, but mistakes are valuable, too, and teach you a lot..... in highschool i started getting interested in cooking and tried to teach myself a bit. i'm still teaching myself and still have a LOT to learn. but i knew of so many guys older than me who never cooked. their mom always cooked for them, and then when they moved out they expected their girlfriend or wife to cook for them, and if this was impossible they just ate shitty fast food like mcdonalds and pizza hut.... so i wanted to learn to cook so i'd have some options even when nobody was around to cook for me. as long as i can afford the ingredients, i can make a tastey meal. since i learned to make good mashed beans which are very similar to the refried beans from many hole-in-the-wall mexican restaraunts (in texture and flavor, different in how they're prepared and nutritional facts, i'm sure) having tastey stuff is much easier and cheaper. i've been focusing more lately on whats cheap, tasty and nutritious - not just the best and most innovative things i can make.
In general I actually don't get hungry....like, at all...I'm defective. But on the rare occasion that I do, I will kill for Chinese food. Usually an egg roll. Actually, one of my friends is in cullinary school, so he makes food for us. It's quite nice.
I have munched thousands of times while stoned! and this is the best munchie i have ever come across... Chips ahoy crunchy chocolate chip cookies crunched up and put in a bowl of milk... u eat it like cereal... its so fucking good... and some of you are saying foods u have to cook idk about you but i hate!!!!!!!!!! cooking food while high i just like quick shit
