Alright this question goes to experienced trippers, not kids who don't have anything better to do than drink cough syrup to get high. What's a DXM trip, like visuals and physical. And does it even compare to other drugs i.e. X, LSD, boomers, Bees. Thanks for your feedback.

I've only taken low doses (300mg), so I wouldn't know about visuals. However, physically, it made me feel dizzy, very messed up/blurry vision, and whenever I ran/went on stairs I felt like I was floating.

However, it is a dissociative, so if anything it's much more like ketamine or pcp, rather than lsd or shrooms. And I don't see it being at all compared to X either.

Low doses are somewhat similar to being drunk and high, higher doses being more like ketamine.

I personally didn't find any benefit from taking 300mg. No mental clarity/insight like I get with bud, and overall it just made me feel shitty.

My friend did a project on dxm and she read from several places that dxm is used as a substitute for ecstasy in clubs. dxm is similar is vague ways to e. time goes by fast on both and my vision was similar to a coricidin [dxm] trip when i was on e (everything got brighter and the lights everywhere were alot shinier than when i was sober)

but dxm can be fun. if you take enough of it and maybe smoke a few blunts then you might hallucinate. i dunno one of my first times taking it i hallucinated and i didn't take that high of a dosage (don't remember how much exactly but i remember it wasn't alot.)

i feel great when i'm on a good dxm trip. i feel so confident...haven't done that shit since the summer though. i wanna do it again though :]

What Prea said about its most close relatives is true. I'll add that it is one of the most difficult drugs to describe. Alien world. A definite phyiscal inebriation, like you have just returned from a trip to mars. gravity feels different, proprioception is altered, as may be olfaction, and to lesser extent the other senses. It can make you feel like a little kid again, but in a much more disoriented, detached sort of way than the typical psychedelics. It can be hard to think clearly on it. It is a total mind fuck, but I have obtained some insights, and achieved deep meditation. There is a specialness to it but one needs to be in the right mind set.! Neutral, relaxed, with some abstract things to play with or to think about (lower dosages), a comfortable room, good music selection. and some orange juice on higher doses.

Yeah you can hallucinate on it, but it is addictive and very bad for you. I've done DXM around 6-10 times (doses ranging from 400-600 mg) and had some amazing times and some shitty times. It makes you feel awkward, self-conscious, and just bad for a while afterwards and it can permanently fuck with your head. If you have seen Requiem for a Dream, some of the experiences are reminiscent of what happens to the older lady when she starts taking a lot of the diet pills. I don't really recommend it, if you want to try a psychedelic go with one that won't do physical harm like LSD or shrooms.
