Growing shrooms

I know i should post this in the shroom forum, but i though i would get better info from the stoner forum. I want to start growing shrooms, even though i still live with my parents. I dont know that much about growing mushrooms. I can order all the stuff i need of the internet. I need advise on how i should grow my shrooms and all the stuff im going to need.

 

apparently cow shit works well as a fertilizer. Most people don't generally have easy access to it (lucky me, I can have as much cow shit as I want!), but thought I'd mention it just in case, lol.

My friend was trying to get me to grow shrooms for him, in the great pile of cow shit I have access to.

 

not all shrooms grow in cow shit, and I wouldent use it as a substrate for my shrooms

they smell a lot. You'll get caught

No listen to swazo they smell like something is decaying. Unless your parents are incredible dumb are have no nostrils, then I wouldnt try it. My friend tried and he left them in the deep corner of his basement, we both though it was good enough but OH man did that basement REEEK.

 

im not sure if this would work but you could put those air freshners that look like pine trees (normally in a car) by the shrooms and maybe they would keep the stench away. or make it worse idk. im not sure but maybe burning a lot of insence?

 

Smell? What the hell? I've been a part of a few grow projects the last few years, all PF-tek and the only time I could smell anything was when they're in the fruiting chamber and I opened the lid. The smell was nice

For first-timers, go for the pf-tek. It's the simplest and the cheapest. Although the bags are the easiest they aren't worth it for the price imo. I did it that way first and started a pf-grow while the bag was colonizing. Eventually the bag turned green but by then my jars were nearly done anyway so no loss, except the £20 or so I payed for a bag and a few substrate materials.

How is your grow going, Green? I saw posts about it a while ago but couldn't reply as I didn't know my password and well, couldn't be fucking bothered to get another sent, ha what lazyness.

 

I was thinking about ordering my spores from sporeworks.com they seem like they have good prices.

 

its really odd, the fungus spread stopped maybe 3 weeks ago. i still have it like it was before just incase it kicks in, it took forever to see first signs, and it was only 1 place (not 4 like i injected with needle) so yeah im quete pissed off - some fungus made me think yay, now i aint got shit. i regularly add more water to keep it moist, my pc dries it out sometimes.

 

if nothing esle in 1 week, im throwing it and getting a new one - most likeley a weed and shroom grow at the same time
