    Hey Peoples,
I getting into growing magic mushrooms. I have most major factors set up and i would like to think i have reserched it rather well. Just a few minor questions,
    • Fluorescent Lights
I have to get Fluorescent lights as there isn't sunlight getting to the area which I am going to grow. So do you know any internet sites that sell Cheap, Small and i mean small Fluorescent lights. I heard i need some of the 'Blue Spectrum' such as 'Cool White'. Not sure which type to get tho . .Tube,Bulb,Compact. Any Knowlegde of the type of lighting would be apresaited.

    • Type
First off, I was going to buy Panaeolus Cyanescens as they are supposed to have a higher content of Psilocybe but are harder and more delicate to grow.
So i thought of buying Psilocybe Cubensis strain.Still not really sure what type to buy . . .

    Thanks for your help

You don't need to buy special lights unless you don't have any lighting whatsoever where you grow them, so don't waste your money. Also, start out with P. cubensis and then move on to other species once you get some practice. Of course, there are more potent species, but there's nothing wrong with good old cubensis.

So will a normal house hold bulb do?
So what i mean is, as there isn't any sunlight reaching the area which i am growing(it's a cubard) .A normal household buld will do insted of a fluorscent light?
I have been told that I would need a Fluorscent light of the blue spectrum.
    'Cool White'

Any old light will do. Just the ambient room light is usually enough. Don't forget though, that during incubation you don't need ANY light at all. Only after they are birthed (assuming pf-tek cakes) will you need to worry about light, humidity, and Fresh Air Exchange.
