Hi hippies! I'm looking at moving to Vic to get me some edja-macaytin' in the art of film, and so I'm putting out the ol' feelers about the garden city, having never been there.
My understanding is that the gates are guarded by an angel with a flaming sword but that may be hyperbole, or a different garden paradise.

Anyways! my question, my query to you good folks is, whats the scene in vic? hows the living? hows the loving? Spill thy guts and I shall spill out my gratitude to fill thy gut-holes.
Resources to follow up on get extra credit and a shiny star.

hmm, well, victoria's a great city man, i love it.

if you're lookin to bum around in art school and meet tons of hippies...well, this is the place. however, even if you're into more than that and just want a decent, friendly city to live in, this is also the place. and the friendly hippies come as an added bonus.

i don't consider myself too "hip" in those terms, anymore, but there is still a great overall diverse scene here, and a lot of interesting things happen. i'd recommend it, myself.

and fuck, you can't beat livin beside that ocean!

Nelson is a dream. It can be hard if you don't know someone (or everyone), typical small town stuff. Still, I love it. The music scene and the bands that come through are unbelievable. The party favours are unbeatable. The people are awsome.

    be warned:

The natives call it the Valley of Lost Souls. Once you drink the water it takes a part of your soul and you either never come back, or never leave. Plus the local tribes used to send their crazies here.
