I'm fuckin' worried.

It can last forever... I have seen a "gangster" turn straight hippy after a life changing trip. Honestly, dude was selling rock and what not. One day he came across L and tripped face. Now he has changed his ways. He was all about money and ripping people off... Now he is a lot less full of himself (humble), stays away from blow, and is more family oriented. However; some people, especially those who take L to get fucked up instead of spiritual purposes, never really see the light. Mainly because they were using LSD for the wrong reasons anyway.

 

It can tilt in the other direction too.

I went to school with a guy who was for lack of a better term, brillant. Got a full scholarship to the University of Alabama. It was there he discovered LSD.

After about six months, I heard that he had pretty much lost his sanity. Broke out all his teeth, and was living on little more than birdseed. I doubt he ever recovered from that last trip. Sad story, and I know a few others.

im sorry, but your not gonna lose your ego forever from tripping one time. it takes years of dedication and meditation even with the help of lsd. tripping once for the first time isnt gonna make you lose your ego forever. read learys book he even says this.

 

shit like this really DOES happen. please dont trip unless you know yourself and are comfortable with who and where you are. sometimes that first little peice of paper is all it takes to unwind a chromasome and send you off the deep end.

Let me make you something clear.
Ego- that is the thing witch bounds you to this physical reality, that is you represented to other physical entities.
When you say that you lost your ego, that can last only while you are tipping, because than you don't need to be in this reality. As soon as you come back, you alter new ego, most probably changed, not the same like one before trip, but agian ego. If you lose it completely, than that means that you refuse to come back to physical reality, and than most probably you end up locked somewhere where somebody can wipe your ass and feed you. Ego is connection between your mind and body and physical reality. Is it more clear to you now what ego is? It can not be lost completely (at least not for long time), it can be changed so you can become the best person you can, but you still have your ego, thats who you are.

Id say he lost more than sanity. You really don't need sanity to appear as a respectable intelligent person.

Seems like he lost respect and love for his body.

 

Don't fear it. I've done it without the help of psychedelics (maybe THC helped but I haven't yet tried any of the more potent ones). It's been a positive growth, one that has made me a lot happier.

Also, ego, in this context, is not referring to your personality. It's more referring to the egotistic personality trait.

 

It's a good thing to dismantle your ego.
