Conan!

I have laughed harder in the last 3 days than I have in years. I just wanted to share.

 

Hm, I feel like I'm missing something that's been in the news or something. Does it have to do with conan o'brien? if so, I haven't seen that show in quite some time.(though, in high school, it was my favorite late night show). Or perhaps conan the barbarian... but he hasn't done much lately.

 

^ hahah yea she must mean conan o'brien. I can't stand the late night talk show hosts.

 

^ what about like stephen colbert and such....?

 

I'm not sure who he is, but I'm assuming that he's on cable. And I don't have cable.

lol I'm not a big tv fan anyway. I'd rather read or computer or cook or clean or anything but have to sit and watch tv!

I used to have cable, but I owe them somehting like 500 bucks and it's gone to the creditor now. So the next step will probably be satellite.

It does suck having a 50inch hdtv though and not getting good channels. I do have an antenna on the roof though, and I get all of the locals, plus their digital channels.

 

Damn, I thought this was going to be about the Barbarian.

Conan Obrian is appreciated too, though.

 

You're probably better of without TV (says the guy with digital cable)... leaves you free to be productive. If cable went away I'd probably go through sort of a withdrawal staqe but I'd bet my life would actually turn out more worthwhile in the longer one.

Yea the only reason I have it is cause my dad bought it for us. My bf was doing TONS of car work and home repairs for him, and I guess he wanted to keep us happy. He has a nice one too, and actually they just bought a 27 inch lcd hd for my grandparents! lol So I guess they are the tv faeries.

The only thing I miss about having all the digital channels were the food network, and the movie channels. Sometimes it's nice on a lazy weekend to watch weird random movies.

Unfortunately the computer sort of replaces the tv though. I do all of my housework and taking care of the baby and then sit in front of the computer screen for a couple hours. Plus I toke at the desk here too so I accomplish 2 tasks at once.

My boyfriend hates it when I'm on the pc, but sitting next to him staring at the tv is so boring.

I am in the same boat as you Jades, with the exception that while I do owe the cable company it's not even available in my area since I moved and I also owe the sattellite company 400, but that's not my fault... damn direct tv (hate those bastards).


Now on the topic at hand... even when I did have cable I never got into the whole late night talk shows, not my style.

 

That sucks!!! You owe both. I probably won't get satellite only because it's SO nice to not have that big bill to worry about.

 

Yeah wife and I are considering paying off direct tv with our tax money this year, but I am still pissed about the bogus charges.

 

i am moving here soon and right now i have charter cable with the high speed internet and everything and where im moving im going to have to get either dish or directv. i would rather get directv because they have xm stations and i have that in my car so i like that better then sirius. what happened with you and directv because id like the hear what happened since im going to be getting into satalite here soon. im just curious what they have charged you to get such an outragous bill.

 

television is boring, im more of a feature film and porno guy myself, i watch anime online, and only watch two shows with my folks, you know to "bond" and those are NCIS and the big bang theory. other than that i dont care much for it, watching television and snacking all day is what keeps my best friend over wheight, and i want to stay thin thank you

I used to like stewart, but never colbert. I watch a short list of shows, and usually its right after the battle for bed with my son. stages. ugh.

but leno did that clip of cnn with the air traffic, and I was hysterical. and conan climbing to the catwalk. its just been great the last few days.

 

conan is probably the funniest show ever made. i am a huge conan junky (and im mad they put jay leno back on as the show after poker after dark((used to be a re-run of conan)), ive seen every episode thats come on since about fall of 2006 when we got dvr, ive seen every episode of pale force and have been to www.hornymanatee.com. also i find his beard more hilarious than lettermans.
