I swear when I have my period I think the world is coming to an end. Everything bothers me, I cry, I worry, I get angry! I cannot focus thats for damn sure & at night and in the morning I feel like I have a cold or the flu.
I think my bf thinks I'm made at him b/c i kind of gave him the cold shoulder last night for no good reason. I blame my period. I didn't feel like being anything above blah last night.
Then last night had weird dreams...and for that yes call me crazy but i still blame my period! CAN ANYONE ELSE RELATE?????? I swear I'm a down to earth grl. any other time of the month....

Trust me, You are NOT alone. I am the biggest bitch in the world right before and during my period. My husband could do everything right and I would still find something to be mad at him for. He has learned not to take it personally b/c I will love him again in a few days.
As for the dreams, I've had some real whoppers during my period. Hormones are insane, but that's what we get for being women. The men, they fear us for about 2 weeks a month. Not all bad;)

right before the start of my period i become a real bitch. I cry for no reason, feel fat and ugly, etc etc...ever since i've been on the pill, the symptoms have almost dissapeared but still the effect of the hormones make me really sensitive and a bit bitchy.
I guess part of being a woman is being a bitch once a month :p

yeah, don't worry you aren't alone.I get emotional, and pissed off in general. Oh, and for some reason I hear a lot of Led Zeppelin in my head, more than any other time of the month. But I just laugh at myself, I think when I turn into a PMS bitch it's kinda funny. Too bad those around me at the time don't see the humor... :)

Some PMS is normal, if it interferes with your functioning there IS treatment. I get HORRIBLE PMS. Zoloft, Paxil or Prozac can really do wonders. Not for everybody, but if you cannot function because of PMS symptoms, this may be a good thing to try. (I take Zoloft for migraine prevention and to prevent an other major depressive occurance, but it works on the PMS pretty well, too.)

Sunburst what IS that a picture of? A natural Yoni in the woods? Cool pic.

aha, lol, yeah you are so not alone. I always feel so gross before my period - really emotionally fragile, and yeah, bursting into tears over sweet nothing. I feel sorry for my flatmate - the only guy living with all girls, and we're all PMSing at the same time. poor boy :)

    Hi there,

I take a vitamin called B complex which helps with my periods... But the best thing I have found and it taste gross (to me that is) is a powder that you mix with water it called OPC 3 a friend of mine suggested it... I have had to buy it online and I am not sure what stores if even a health food store would have it... I found it at a company called Market America but there is cheaper on the net I just havent bought them yet.... But it helps with the periods being more regular, headaches, the pain and the time of the period even is less than normal and the moods... But like I said I think it taste awful but its worth it to me....

Hell, I can relate and I don't even menstruate anymore! (Depo). About 6-9 days after my injection, I go all mentally wonky for two days. Super stressed, hate my body, cry at anything, get angry really easily, and I'll hold grudges like I never do when more normal. Hormones are delightful things.

From what I have read, I have the exact opposite effects compared to most of you. I never have cramps, feel sick, get headaches, or have a sore back, etc. while having my period. The only symptom I suffer from is an extreme case of bitchiness, and it is it strengthened since I do not suffer from any other symptoms. It does not take much for me to fly off the handle when I have my period (or when I don‘t…it is just intensified tenfold when I have my period). In all honesty, someone can just look at me, and I take it the wrong way and I go on a complete and utter rampage, cracking skulls, and calling them every name under the sun…taking no prisoners…a flat out beast. I know I am painting a beautiful self-portrait. Hey, we all have our bad days…mine just lasts for seven. lol
