My cumulative GPA is a 2.1. I've been in honors classes all throughout high school, and in my junior year I've got A's in my AP classes, but a D in math. How difficult will it be for me to get into university? Granted I won't try for any private schools or Ivy league, but something like University of Iowa(which is not particularly prestigious but is considered a "public" Ivy) would suit me very well. I don't want to go to community college for even a year, but I feel I might have to with my grades. Assuming that money's no problem(thoguh it is), what can I do to better my chances? If anyone also has recommendations for good writing schools, it'd be much appreciated.
If money is a problem I would strongly reccomend going to CC for a year or two and transfering. Good change it will boost your college GPA, save you ton of money and you still get the same diploma as people that have been there all four. If you are out of state it is going to be even harder for some schools and you will have to pay out of state tution. Try to do some community service, take some classes at a local college to show that you are dedicated. And perhaps talk about your upward trend in grades
