You're too young for some things and too old for some others. They have mixed expectations from you...
hell, im 22 and i still dont drive. but, i just hate driving soooo. i know the ages seem arbitrary and eventually youll be past them all and youll wonder what all the fuss is. 2 years after you can legallyd rink youll be over it, save for the occasional drink with friends (probably, at least), ditto with being over the bar once you can go there to dance for a year or two. its only enticing because you cant do it, not because its legitimately that amazing
Well, I guess the best way to describe how I feel is this, Adults want you to be responsible and independant like an adult, but they still want to be able to order you around and direct your life like you're still a child.
Psh, thirteen...who the hell would wish they were thirteen? Three is the golden age. You are waited on hand and foot, all you have to do is play all day, you get to take naps, and if you piss your pants no one thinks any worse of you. I wish I were three again.
Yeah, I gotta say...I miss the careless days! Any age under 8 was just pure bliss...no need for acceptance, no worries, no probelms...just playing and sleeping and pissing your pants....ahh...what a wonderful thing!
thats true. its the same when you're 16 too, and 17 i'm sure. you've got 5 more years, but you may find that the closer you get to the magical 1-8, the more appealing teendom becomes. when i was 13, i literally calculated and counted down the days until my 18th birthday. now that i only have about 1 1/4 years left, i'm getting a little scared. i feel totally unprepared for adulthood, and before i know it, i'll be there. its daunting.
^^she's right, you won't be able to do anything until you're 18. it sucks, i know, but you just have to grin and bear it, you know? *sighs* one more year for me.
