The table has some surprises. Bath and Edinburgh are lovely places although I've never lived in them. My hometown lives up to its achievement - a mortuary, couldn't agree more. Then again I've never lived anywhere that has cleaner air since the closing of all the heavy industry. There maybe very little work to have but our lungs are crystal!

Lived in Luton for 15 years. Don't like going back but do so every month or so to catch up with friends. Yep, don't like it. Has a very good allotment community though. Oh yeah, Luton carnival is good. Good curry to be had on the road where the wellington pub is. Gold is quite good value in Bury Park.

I always leave there with a feeling of woe though. Like something really bad is about to happen :leaving:

Baths alright...but i found it annoying how no matter where we went we just ended up where we came from, like the whole place is just his big circle...Maybe it was just our walking patterns:) Also everything was way too expensive there, like worse than here and that takes a lot...but it was nice. Is this really the same Bath? It seemed pleasant:confused:trees, spas, stone buildings, fountains and the like

Now Nottingham most definitely belongs there

The nicest places ive seen in England are:
My now hometown:) Except when the races are on
Stratford-upon-avon...i liked the river, and it has a butterfly park!
And Great Malvern! Little bitty place with the hills...its everso peaceful in parts, if wantd to stay in Britain until i was old id retire there:) Fortunately i dont

Ive never visited Devon or Cornwall though and ive heard they have some lovely places

I had heard once that stratford upon doomed olympics site, is quite an okey town. I have been there many times. Apart from being reminded that "You are now entering stratford shopping centre". It was quite nicer and pleasant than say lewisham. I like the station which has the mainline train companies One. I think they take you someplace east. There are nice walks and nice parks. Lewisham is just full of regeneration (Thankfully taking place) But the negatives, dodgy at night, a lot of underage girls as young as ten, trafficking and selling their bodies to pimps. There is a school which sits right on the top of Lewisham. It looks like something out of Harry Potter. But anyway, Lewisham is far better than Luton and atleast during the day, I can walk the streets without being too depressed. It is bad enough that I have woes. I just can't bare to see other's suffering too. Everyone in Luton seems to have a story. You could sit in a train carraige from here to John O Groats, and they will spill their life story far more intense, more vivid than any roaming traveller across the American wild country.
Luton sucks. Its football club is doomed. The train station is full of dead pigeons in the roof. The stairs are slippery and concrete structures makes you feel like you are in Croydon. But much much worse.
