I'm all for religion, but Christianity, among a few religions, is just a religion that I am against. Sure there are some great parts in it, but I dislike Christianity because it teaches hate, violence, discrimination, etc.
I understand where you are coming from, but the words of Christianity doesnt preach that - its those morons at the pulpit (and the Vatican) who manipulate Christianity to mold it to whatever hatetred they are trying to preach
Right now I'm kind of confused about my religion. I am a Christian, but I'm kind of starting to dislike organized religion more and more. I believe in God and I generally try not to sin. Except, I don't know about going to churth every week. I feel like organized religion is one of the reasons for halfs the wars that go on in tihs world. There have been so many wars fought "in the name of God". I just don't understand it. It say right in the bible "Thou Shalt Not Kill". But whatever, I just dont like organized religion, it causes people to believe that they are the only "correct" religion. So for now a Christian who doesnt go to churth.
I am right there with you! I am Christian who doesnt believe in organized religion. I havent been to church in a while...I consider myself a spiritual person, and I feel that I am compitent enough to read on my own and get my pwn message out of it, rather than someone telling me thier interperetation. Also, I have been getting into Buddhist readings, and a lot of Buddhist beliefs coincide with the ideas of Christ.
I saw that all the time when I go to bible study. Bc teaching Peace and Love is pretty basic hippie...plus he only wore sandals (jokes)
It's the hypocrisy of organized religion that gets me, as if being religious can justify sin, it cannot. If there is a hell, I like to think the biggest hypocrites are the most likely to end up there.
