I just saw a dog fashion show on TV, and I saw a tiny dog with a blazer and neck tie......
Designed by Paris Hilton no less.

 

I saw a homeless guy give someone money.

 

I saw a woman pushing a giant pram stop what she was doing to run over and open a door for an elderly woman.

 

I "Thought" ...I Saw ..Crummycummy Say Something Nice About Me In One Of The Forums.."Person Above You Threads"........Nah!!!...Silly...Stupid... Me........Totally Impossible........I Clearly Had Waaaaaayy..Toooooo Much Xmas Champagne That Day........And As Such Must Accept The Fact That This Event Clearly.. Did Not Occur......And Is Even Less Likely To Occur In 2008......!!!

the dissappearance of the middle class in america? hard to pin that down to just one year though. it was even going on before the election of ragun in 81. but that's when it got its major boost.

even corporate usurpation of the consent of the governed was already well under way. i really didn't see anything that particular year to greatly distinguish it from other years.

our personal computers and internet are things no one thought they'd ever see when i was born in 1948.

anything of human manufacture escaping earth's gravity well, was too.

but 2007? so much so many thought they'd never live to see had already happened by then, whatever is supposed to have happened that year, couldn't have been much by comparison.

median price of a house actually decline slightly and temporarily, and all the money nuts run around crying that the sky was falling?
(after they'd deliberately created the situation by their temper tantrum of impatience for the return of mid evil feudalism)

that may have been the year my mom fell down and broke her hip at the age of 87. no, couldn't have been, because she died and 91 in 2009.
well it could have, but i think that was 2006. my wife got a blood test back that year that said she would die in a couple of years.
she did die, six months before my mom.

its just not a year that really stands out in my mind. sorry.

2001 of course, and the elections in 2008 and 12. was the nomination of obama supposed to have been such a big deal?
a lot of us had hoped it might actually change something, but the corporate criminal fix was already in, had been for more then 30 years already by then, and way to deep to really expect it to.

nope. well everything i wasn't sure if i'd ever see in my lifetime, that has happened yet, had all happened long before 2007.

there's still a bunch of things no one thinks they'll ever see that have yet to happen. those are a roll of the dice as to whether i'll live long enough to see them.
i don't really expect to.

manned spaceflight beyond our solar system. antarctica like colonies on the moon and mars. faster then light and anti-gravity, might be the fantasies they're currently beliveed to be, or they might not. the fall of both the automobile and nations as we know them. some combination of multiple plagues that massively diminishes human population. that would set back other developments for several decades or so. i do fully and thoroughly expect many of those who are young now, to live to see that happen. plague aided by mass starvation in places no one now believes it to be possible. i mean all the places that are super powers and on top today.

america becoming a has been empire, best thing that that ever happened for the people in great britain. will be the best thing for people in america when it does.

yah there are a lot of things no one thinks will every happen, that are just waiting to, and most of them very likely will. 2007 was really nothing to many of those which came before, and many more which have yet to come after.
