So ive been thinking about douching but there are somethings i am wondering about. First off ive heard that it isnt good for you is that true? second off is there any homemade kits so i dont have to go out and buy a kit?
your body cleans itself naturally. introducing a foreign substance to do it's job doesn't really make any sense. it throws off your natural pH balance or some such stuff and increases the risk of infection. if at all, MAYBE once in a great while. i just don't really see the point.
like kc said, your body maintains itself naturally. if you are having an issue (ie yeast infection), douching will likely do more harm than good. if youre truly insistent on it, only use water - no chemicals or soaps or scented products or shit like that but seroiusly, you dont need to douche
I have never done it before, but i know my mother used to....i don't think its natural, like most people said, it can throw off your PH
I am probably not the best one to describe it, so anyone feel free to correct me if i am wrong, but basically it is a bottle that is filled with a liquid that is supposed to clean you out if you need "freshening" or have just had sex. It has a nozzle and you put it up in your vagina and squeeze out the liquid. honestly doesnt sound like a pleasent thing to me
basicallyw ashing the vagina out with a chemcial liquid or water via a pump or bottle or nozzel or whatever completely unnecessary and simply another part of society that says "vagina = dirty!" imho
The human body is an amzing machine and is, in many ways, designed to rid itself of harmful bacteria. Douching is usually a water and vinegar or saline solution that some women use to flush their vaginas. The vagina flushes itself with bodily secretions that are in perfect ph balance to the vagina. Douching screws up the ph balance, and can lead to vaginal dryness, irritations and even infections. Supposedly they do it to feel "clean and fresh." I don't know about everyone else, but if I want to feel "clean and fresh" I take a shower or bath. I have also never met a man that thought douching smelled better than the natural scent of a woman. As long as her "parts" are clean and healthy of course Unless your doctor has suggested douching I would pass on it.
Douching is not good for your vagina. I don't know a good ob/gyn that would recommend it all. It isn't even necessary to use soap on the vulva. Some water and friction is sufficient to keep your parts clean.
