why no flesh? its part of our nature to eat other animals.. humans are omnivores.. and not supporting the meat killing by not buying? but if YOU dont buy it... SOMEBODY ELSE will... i dont think being vegetarian or vegan really helps any.. cause when theres one vegetarian... theres five more meat eaters... you guys are out numbered... so unless you actually decide to make a BIG difference.. being vegetarian is almost kinda useless... unless you just plain dont like the taste of meat.. then props to ya.
hi shroom land. I don't eat meat because it's filled with hormones and parasites and disgustingly bad vibes. there's nothing healing or nurturing about eating that tortured dead animal. it makes me physically sick. I used to eat meat and drink milk and I was so ill for years. took me months of good diet and exercise to feel good. lots of yoga and dance and good food. Go ahead....keep buying that gross shit. if I ever need to kill an animal for food, I will. until then, I will eat yummy healthy food. that's just my personal opinion. People who eat meat smell so bad they believe they need to wear deoderant everyday haha yuck so gross no offense...to each their own...
i dont smell, i never have armpit odor.. lol well the only kinds of meat i eat are chicken and fish.. and eggs. lol but you're totally right, SOME meats are disgusting.. the thing that grosses me out the most is when you bite into like.. a hot dog... or a burger.. you taste that gummy shit..... litterallly makes me gag.. litterally.. thats the main reason why i dont eat other meats..
I agree that it's part of nature to eat other animals. However the result leaves me feeling icky. I get bad stomach aches from eating red meat and my doctor had told me I had too much fat in my BLOOD from eating meat. So I'm raw vegan. I'm healthier, happier, and losing weight. I think it's a personal choice. Just like I wouldn't try to force someone to be vegan I don't think anyone should force me to eat meat.
Obviously humans can eat meat, but the cheap meat you get at gocery stores and fast food places is hardly natural. If you want natural go hunt your own wild game or find a farmer who raises his animals humanely and naturally and buy direct, or raise your own. But in most human cultures meat was not the main focus of the diet and was not eaten at every meal or even every day.
Ever hear the saying that vegetarians taste better? well my boyfriend agrees with this..haha It is the hormones in meat that makes human fluids and body odor smell/taste bad. I don't eat meat because i'm not okay with these chemicals. Plus, I feel better just eating veggies. I have more energy and a better immune system. I leave a smaller carbon footprint. "and not supporting the meat killing by not buying? but if YOU dont buy it... SOMEBODY ELSE will..." So if someone throws trash on the ground it is okay because someone else is doing it too? This type of logic confuses me. The more people who don't litter will help make a bigger impact. The more people who don't eat meat will make a bigger impact. I'm not the type of person who pushes my vegetarianism on others. I believe in choosing your own destiny, but an educated one.
really this is how i look at it.. . if it HAS to be cut up and cooked then maybe we shouldnt eat it? Plus I could never kill an animal.. OR even win at killing an animal. I hate weapons.. so id never go after anything with one.. So i supose that, becuse I couldnt kill and animal with my bare hands... becuse of either Physical differences or that i couldnt pull my mind up to it to kill it.. then I shouldnt be going to the supermarket to pay for somone else to do the dirty work. I feel so much lighter and healthy being Veg. not so Weighed down, And my mind has been much more healthy.
psychedelics work better if the user has been on a vegetarian diet for a couple days. now that's a reason the trollish OP might get behind. Now, to actually take on the ASSumptions: why no flesh? because I find it unnecessary given the food system where I live. I also find that killing for mere convenience is a great abomination against the inhabited universe. its part of our nature to eat other animals.. humans are omnivores. It's part of human nature to wage war, rape, dislike people for being different and watch alotta NASCAR. Does this mean we should not aspire to be MORE? Humans are opportunivores, and I take the opportunity to err on the side of kindness and not cruelty. also, technically, egg and milk qualify as omnivore foods, since they are not plants. and not supporting the meat killing by not buying? but if YOU dont buy it... SOMEBODY ELSE will... I don't support guns, fur, Fords, child slavery chocolate or bottled water. Sure, other people will but those things. But I can choose to expect more of myself. i dont think being vegetarian or vegan really helps any.. cause when theres one vegetarian... theres five more meat eaters... you guys are out numbered... so unless you actually decide to make a BIG difference.. being vegetarian is almost kinda useless... Where there is one marijuana legalization supporter, there are about two non supporters. Should that activist movement just roll over and let an outdated and badly conceived drug policy just be ascendant and the assumptions unchallenged based on current numbers? being vegetarian can also be extremely selfish in that people do it for their personal health (of course, improving an individual's health positively impacts the larger society), or because they simply cannot stomach eating a carcass. There's also the story of the woman walking along a beach as the tide went out. She was picking up starfish and tossing them far into the waves. An observer confronted her. "There are thousands of these starfish on the beach and you cannot rescue them all. Stop this. It makes no difference." The woman looked at the observer, picked up another starfish and flung it with all her might. "It mattered to that one."
Wow drumminmama you said it so beautifully and perfectly!! Basically, if I can live and be healthy without supporting companies that harm animals, I will and I do. Why wouldn't I?? And of course there are a number of other reasons, but I think it just makes sense. There are a lot more vegetarians in the world than you think. =)
