Augh! All right, so I'm stretching my earlobe and right now, it's a 2. The thing is, it's a flared tunnel! And I'm not realizing that using a flared one was a big mistake. Now my ear is a 2-gauge, while the flare is (obviously) bigger. And I can't get it out  I spent ten minutes trying to pull it, push it, slide it and wiggle it out, and no dice! It started bleeding a bit from the force I guess, and I had to stop because my ear was hurting so much. So I'll give it a day or two to let the swelling go down and then try again, but PLEASE tell me there's another way! It's made of acrylic...can I like, cut it? I have no idea how to get rid of it, but it hurts soo much trying to get it out and I don't even know if I'll be able to do it! Like if I was stretching it to a bigger size, I'd do it with a taper or something slowly, you can't just rip it out like that!
Is there any reason you NEED to get it out? If not, wait until it's healed better and just play with it a lot to help loosen it up, and it should come out easily. If you really REALLY want/need it out of there, it's acrylic. You can cut it out yourself, use wire cutters or something, but your best bet would be to go to a piercer and ask them to cut it out. That way, they can do it the safest way possible and check to make sure there are no small chunks of acrylic left behind.
just leave it for awhile. lightly stretch your ear by pulling down on the gauge and twist it around every once and awhile until it heals. then it will be stretched out enough to come out
It's good to wait before stretching. I mangled a stretch the other day and just put the lower gauge tunnel back in. It swelled up a lot. You just have to be careful, especially you I sleep, that the ring doesn't pop out. If you have a tear or blowout, popping it back in may make it worse. My lobe is still sensitive and swollen. I guess I gauged up too fast. You live and learn, and you have to take your time. It may take months for a piercing to be ready to stretch. But anyway it sounds like good advice to let the ring stay in.
Yeah I've had the same gauge for about 2 months now, so it's not like I'm skipping sizes or trying to rush it. But I think just pulling down on it for a while until it sort of stretches more is a good idea. And nooow I know flared tunnels are a bad idea
play with it, and then pack your ear in hot towels to loosen the skin, use some ky jelly, and gently pull it out. I would let it heal for a good while before trying it since you tore some tissue, Anyway, if you doo have to cut it out, I would try filing the acrylic because there's less chance of pinching your ears. Peace
yea...just play with it a little bit...of course once it heals...and it should loosen up a bit...i have the same size and i had the same problem getting them in...but after a while i was able to get them in and out with no problems...in fact sometimes they'll fall out while i'm sleeping...hope it works out...happy stretching!
