drugs are a waste

never thought i would say this, but drugs are a big fucking waste. waste of money, time, and life. the only drugs i find to not be a waste are psychedelics. i still like smokiong bud and having a beer, but its pointless. you feel good for 2 or 3 hours, then you back to how you were.

how much money would i have now if i had never spent money on pills, bud, alcohol, pills, and ciggarettes? thousands is what i would have. how much more time could i have spent on perfecting my music skills? hundreds and hundreds of hours.
lets figure it out.
i spent an average of $50 a week on weed. so 200per month
15 a week on cigs. so 60 a month
about 40 on alcohol a month
bout 50 per month on pills.
so total that is about $350 a month. which is 4200 a year. i have been using these regularly for 3 years so that is $12600! how the fuck does a teenager even get that kind of money?


ive neglected my school since i was in 7th grade. now im panicking because my grades might not be good enough to get into a college. without college i wont be able to fulfill my dream of traveling the world.

drugs have cause so much bullshit and problems in my family its rediculus. ive been expelled from school(definatly wont look good to college) and arrested. for what? so i could fall asleep on xanax? fuck that

i could have been meeting more people and maybe finding someone i could fall in love with. but instead i would rather puke my guts up while robotripping on a golf course.

i still smoke bud, drink and pop pills, but drugs are a big fucking waste. i think ill just start cutting back

and non of this applies to drugs like lsd and shrooms and salvia, etc.

 

Well you cant say bad things about drugs if you still use them. I can honestly say ive met a good share of the people i know while on some kind of drug. Drugs are only a waste if you use them just to get wasted.

 

which i was doing. thats also why i excluded the psychedelics. honestly, alcohol, opiates, and depressants cant be used in any other way than to get fucked up. i believe drugs are good in moderation. what im saying is that i used in excess. way too much excess. my life completely revolved around drugs.
i whenever i wasnt on them, i was trying to get them for thiniking about them.

 

I used to have the same problem, finally I realized what you have and stopped. I have broken addiction, it's a great feeling. Now I take some drugs every now and then, but not like I used to. It is much better because I save a lot of money and feel healthy again! When I do use a drug I appreciate unlike when I used to.

 

thats like saying you cant criticize politicians if you voted, or cant criticize where your countrys headed if youre still living there. aka, complete bs

personally i think pretty much all drugs (save for those used in medical procedures) are a total waste. even booze is a bit of a waste, but it is a fun indulgence from time to time (and i do mean, time to time, ie fairly rarely)

 

Drugs aren't a waste if you are doing it in moderation, and if you're doing it for the experience/feeling of being high, not just because you're addicted and you need to.

 

Nothing is a waste unless an individual believes that something is. In other words, what is a waste to some individual(s) is completly subjective and irrelevant to someone else's individual truth.

 

i dunno, drugs are just a substance - it wasnt drugs that took away your money, kicked you from school or gave you shitty grades. everyone treats things differently.

but good luck on your future, i fucked up at school also, but now im top of my class in college, even though i drink more and smoke somewhat the same, only not on college nights anymore.

Thats pretty hypocritical, you can't say drugs are ok for medicine but not recreation and then go say that "even booze is a bit of a waste" alcohol is a pretty hard drug compartivley to some others.

 

There are many legitamate uses for opiates and depressents that don't result in getting f*ed-up, such as a person dealing with sever pain may need opiates just to function noramally. A person with anxiety might take a depressent to help them relax. How many artists and musicians have been high as hell on all kinds of drugs and produced some great art, quite a few. Not all use is abuse, getting high is one thing, while getting wasted is just a waste.

 

yeah, me and a buddy were having a discussion very similar to this last week. I was saying, no matter how high you get you always end up sober, and with less money. So what's the point? There isn't any. Nobody has a good reason to do drugs (when I say drugs I exclude psychedelics). I've wasted the last two years of my life getting high.

Like you said, the funds aren't there. I looked at how much I've made since I started my job last year. I should have over $8000. Instead, I have $427.23, two gallons of wine, and 3 xanax. What the Fuck? I got accepted to college in Montana, and I might not have enough money to go. My left nostril is bigger than my right. It actually arches higher because of all the various powders I've sniffed.

And where's the sense of accomplishment? What did I gain from abusing my body such? What do you actually gain? Drugs are bad!

But what the fuck else do I have to do?

 

meh, its a personal opinion. i see (illegal) drugs as different than you do it seems like. i was just stating my opinion, not debating nor trying to convince others, so hassle someone else bitte schoen

 

You're going to have a hard time convincing me that having a few beers while watching a hockey game, two glasses of wine with dinner, or a glass of rye on the rocks on my patio after a long day of work is a waste. I thoroughly enjoy it.

 

word brutha man word. i agree, in the end abusing drugs wastes money time and life.

moderation is key in every single aspect of life, the older i get the more i realize this. if you live in moderation chances are you wont run into the feelings of dependance and such.

psychadelics and pot are fine by me. though not everyone. and drinking has pretty much lost its meaning since junior senior year highscool. i feel that pills and hard drugs arent even worth trying ever.

 

Ehm, I'm pretty happy to end up sober next day :tongue:. If you had a good time with beer and pot (which I still have after all these years) why moan about the money next day. Same with fixing a special meal, why buy/cook it if you shit everything out next day and you'll have less money, right? Money's ought to be spend on the things you like. But it's all about moderation indeed.

i meant that when your getting high ith them you are a waste. not if you medically need them.

and i doubt you can make good music when you are half conscious on valuims. the way i see it, ill only smoke bud every now again, drink every now and again, and pop pills once in a blue moon. ill use adderall more because it helps my grades go up. not large doses, just enough to keep me focused at school. ill use shrooms and acid often as i can, which isnt much right now since my connect is out indefinatly right now....

i just have started looking at alot of my friends who all they care about is weed and alcohol. they skip school constantly and are failing most classes as a result. they have no ambitions to be anything other than a pot smoker and frankly its sad. im glad i finally am getting away from that.

 

By using shrooms and acid as often as you can. :tongue:
