As I see new events every day happening in the news and on the internet... i develope my opinion, and stand firm with it.
I saw an article today where George Bush is saying Iran is the lead supported of the insurgents and is calling our allies to help.
The very next artile I read, was one saying Iran has agreed to answer any remaining questions about their program.

Clearly, I believe iran is not causing any harm to anyone. Maybe they have beliefs that we disagree with, but they're not hurting anyone.

I post bulletins on myspace with the articles and my thoughts, hoping a few will catch on and read a bit... But I usually get response calling me an idiot. (Most people I know are from my old church and Christian school, so they all disagree)

Do any of y'all bother trying to inform people of what's happening? Or do y'all just kind of let it all happen and know yhey'll find out later?

I'm in somewhat of a heated arguement now with an old friend, and I've beaten him with facts, and all he is doing now is resorting to the fact that I just bitch and complain and should leave America, and I'm just a kid that can't vote. It's annoying.

I feel that to have an opinion and stand firm upon it is rather like being chained to a sinking ship. You have to be flexible enough to change your opinion in light of new facts.

My friends yell at me for bitching, and would rather paint their battle figures or watch football than to talk about the sturdy, elegantly embroidered basket that we are all going to "hell" in. A tisket a tasket a green and yellow basket...
People have no desire to listen to truth, or opinions or to allow something that they might disagree with penetrate their fragile walls. thats why we find forums on the internet full of people who sometimes want to listen, instead of beating ourselves against our friends.

i only offer up my opinion on such things when asked.i do not try n force my opinion on them but rather give my idea of how it is,,,, there is no point in trying to sway anyone to believe what i do although some folks really do frustrate me with how ignorant they are n those i just have to change the subject matter

Experience tells me the harder I try to educate people the more they will resist. People will only hear what they want to... or what they absolutely have to. I throw out little test nuggets of opinion and gauge reactions- which are usually a bored stare or abrupt subject change.

yeah, they don't usually seem to appreciate it...so why bother. most people have dyed in the wool opinions and trying to teach them anything only creates resistance and conflict.

man, i do the same thing but we're usually high before i really start talking but they area all like ron paul! and hahahaha national id card
thats what is wrong with our generation they just don't see they don't see if we go to war with iran we're all gonna be refugees, there will be no america. iran is allies with russia and i believe russia is allies with India who hates Pakistan and who we are allies with in the war on "terror" and then the iranian president wants to see Israel disappear and so do other nations like lebanon and egypt, then saudi arabia one of our allies will get started in this mess, and what do you know another world war it's a house of cards you know?

quick fact iran's total military is 12 million total troops (only 500,000 are active though) us army is something like 3 million total and 1 million active, iran actually has a military unlike iraq or afghanistan, i predict at least 20,000 US lives lost in the first year if we go to war in iran

oh buddy, a full scale ground invasion of Iran=60,000+ deaths(first year), do you know how many missiles/chem weapons they have + the insane insurgency that would insue, the U.S doesnt have the troops for an invasion and would have to start up the draft, that means poorly trained people with guns and no experience in war...and the fact that they would be trying to fight a three front war.. and the fact that syria would most likely be involved, dont even go there lol, only hope would be air strikes, it would be the worst possible move they could make, just when it seems that things are turning around in Iraq after so many years

you know the same thing that will happen when they reinstate the draft as it did in Vietnam, but this will be the final straw, more people are questioning authority and supporting people like dennis kucinich and ron paul for president not the "traditional" ones. There will be a great divide created between two groups of people those for the war and those against and that's how the revolution will start. oh yeah if and when the war in Iran starts I am planning an exodus to canada so we will be safe (russia has an upwards of double the nuclear missiles of the US)

    draft the SUV drivers first...

but yeah, if we invaded Iran, I seriously doubt the rest of the world would really let another BS excuse pass like in Iraq. We've already destroyed our worldwide credibility.

Plus I would drive to DC for the massive protest that would ensue. I would say over a million people depending on circumstances.

As for the OP, I don't. I let them know my beliefs but I rarely do the whole, "you're wrong-I'm right" just because it's horribly condescending to people I respect. Plus, I am only one out of two in my group that pays any attention to the news, so the conversations would be one sided anyways.

It's not so much I'm forcing my opinions on them... but really, I sincerely believe that if ENOUGH people would realise how crazy of a mess we're in, we'll be able to do SOMETHING in regards to controlling our country's future. I feel its completely necessary to inform as many people as possible. Especially now, so in a few years when it gets horrible, its not so much of a revelation to them since they have already atleast heard of it years before.

If we go to war with Iran, I will do everything I possibly can to get my mother to atleast let ME leave this place. I guess Canada would be my first choice, just because it's right there... but it's definitely not where I'd like to live out the rest of my life... especially considering that the NAU is already starting to form, and they're now actually being open about it in many cases.

I've grown a fondness for Sweden, and I'd like to live there. I'll first have to "study abroad" there in college, so I'll atleast get my foot in the door with their closed immigration system, and after that, we'll just have to hope the NWO doesn't actually happen. But surely, some countries will be better off in the New World Order than others, and I think that it's mainly the European countries, and DEFINITELY not America.
