whatever happened to the proud uk music industry ? ?...when in the sixties & early seventies british bands ruled the entire world & was the envy of the american market.
i play bass guitar in a band & many youngsters often say to me after gigs...
" i wish i was born in that era...i love all that "
i also notice many young bands thrive on playing rock from the early seventies !
says alot in my book !

Then again, legends of the 60s/70s such as Clapton were heavily influenced by blues artists such as Robert Johnson, from over twenty years before. It just moves in circles, in a way.

I guess the Americans all went to college and learned how to market properly. We just carried on strumming guitars! So aye, we probably don't sell as much, but we can still show 'em a thing or two about music ;)
