Hey there all, how's it going?

Well, as many of you don't know, I've been hanging around, just waiting for my hair to grow. And now my Afro hits a 3 1/2 - 4inch mark. So it is ready to begin, and I am willing to start. I always had the idea of backcombing, but as the time passed and the more I matured in my new views of life. (Which involves being a Naturalist) Naturally, I feel like Backcombing is out of the picture, and I most definitely will not get them done professionally, nor am I willing to add wax.

So I am going to Neglect my hair. However, after some recent thought, when my hair mats up and such, will it just grow into dreads naturally, or am I going to have to section my hair and then neglect.? My friend proposed the idea that it is possible for all of my hair to grow in unison, thus growing another afro, but just messy.

    Any thoughts?

youll have to rip the natural locks into sections that you want, so just let it hang for a couple months, then rip it into sections you like
