Why does the media bash weed smokers!?

I'm so fuckin' tired of seeing "1 in every 5 16-year-old drivers get into car accidents due to weed" Goddamnit, how many good 16 year old drivers are there anyway?! Did they do this study on asian folk? (no offense, asian people you guys make awesome food)

Also, fuckin' TV shows, like 7th heaven, and all the fall-line-up shows all have episodes devoted to slamming stoners. They will have the father character find a baggie in the kids room. The father tells the mom. The mom and father wait for the kid to get home, and have a long, boring, pointless conversation about how one drag off your joint will make you a bum.

Another one I hate is at this bus stop thats 5 blocks away from me. There's a picture of a kid holding the smallest hair-joint you've ever seen, and thats in a BEFORE picture. Then, you see some kid with a hood on, selling newspapers , sitting on a milk crate on the AFTER photo. Who are they trying to brainwash anyway? Voodoo pharmacology didn't work in the 60's, why would it work now?

Hey, I may not be 21, but I smoke responsibly. Besides, if smoking cannibis were made legal for persons over 21, it would just be even easier for teens to get it. No annoying phone calls. Just go up to a bum, or your older brother/sister and give em some extra bread.

Any case, this is a marijuana thread in the "hip forum" website. Apparently, he's looking for the anti-marijuana thread in the "square forum" wesite. Rubin, you've got the other 99.99999% of the web to inflict yourself on. Why don't you not trample on the buzz of a few people who share at least a few common sentiments?.

 

I drink responsably. I know how to handle my alcohol more than most "adults" I know. I do not use it frequently, and do not abuse of it.

 

You smoke responsibly, while others abuse it. No, it would not be easier, there would be stronger laws and stronger drug control. Drugs are much easier to get than liqour these days in the US.

Hell, most people would ignore these commercials, or even better: get intrigued by them, and try it.
