Hello, anxiety gets the best of us at times, sometimes more than we like, but when I exercise I find I feel better afterwards. Eat less junk foods as they deplete energy levels after the sugar rush runs out. Find a chat on the pc and talk with people to work on the social skills. And find a friend or family member to go out and do things with, take a bus ride or a drive to the mall, or a renaissance fair... sometime's just being with someone you trust can lessen the anxiety of being around strangers or just out period. like anything else, practice makes perfect, well maybe not perfect, but may get to a tolerable level so you can do things alone and control the anxiety. I hope that helps... Peace to you
Those may seem to help at first, for a while even, but its only an illusion, and underneathe, the problem gets worse, and will come back with a vengence!!! So its better to comfront it early, without the drugs and drinking, before it destroys you, and makes it way harder to fight and face. By then, all you want are the drugs and drink to run from reality, thus run from the problem.
Acupressure really works well This is a pic of 3 really good acupressure spots that have helped me out a lot - http://www.mind-energy.net/uploads/anxiety.jpg
Get a dog. I'm serious. I got a dog and now I have to go out and walk her. It's fun. People ask me about her. It relaxes me to pet her. Having a dog is relaxing, and good exercise, and forces you to talk to people.
I'd suggest St Johns Wort, but it depends on how long you have been having the anxiety. Perhaps try some Nervatone calming tongue spray. It's for everyday stress relief and it works for me. Good luck though.
