i see where jadesmom is coming from, i mean if i had my own place, sure id be cooking up delishious food high also, but unfortunetly i live with my mum... and im sure she would mind a homemade pizza in the oven by her extremely high kid at 3 in the morning.

so for now... ramen it is!

i like the noodles themselves alright, but the seasoning packets that come in ramen are terrible. i'd rather mix it with some fresh veggies and a little of whatever kinda sauce sounds good at the time. right now, soy sauce with some sauteed zuchinni, tomato, onion, bell pepper, and broccoli sounds good.

another day i might go for different veggies with perhaps an alfredo sauce, or a garlic butter sauce, or a tomato sauce....

anyway, that sauce you wrote about sounds good. me, i just saw a bank statement today so that had me eating gross, cheap taco bell. i regret it. i would have been better off making beans and rice. that will probably be tomorrow night.

mmm for breakfast and lunch i had awesome homemade food though....overnight i cooked two chicken breasts in the crockpot with a couple potatoes, some carrots, and a shallot along with a clove of garlic in just a small amount of moisture (about a quarter cup of water and a quarter cup of sierra nevada pale ale) by the time i got up all i had to do was sprinkle on a little salt and pepper and i had a delicious and relatively healthy breakfast. it was nice because i rarely eat breakfast. today i've actually had three meals, even if the last meal was lousy

i wish i had money to go raid the grocery. enchiladas sound nice, with or without meat. maybe beans, onions, and cheese....with some bell peppers and hot peppers, too, of course.....and good sauce.....and so much cheese.....

or even a big old shark steak or a piece of marlin or swordfish or tuna or some good meaty fish

anyway, my lack of funds may have kept me eating lousy food tonight, but i at least got some good beer for tonight! i bought a fourpack of duvel today wich included a free duvel glass (i've always wanted one, and it virtually completes my selection of various types of beer glasses) and four duvel coasters.....also got a sixpack of pilsner urquell. pilsner urquell is one of my all time favorite beers, and probably just about the best pilsner i've ever tasted....a world classic in the truest sense.....but they somewhat recently changed their packaging. i hate it. the sixpack is all flimsy and awkward. and it doesnt feel sturdy...like the beer could just fall out the bottom at any time. and the way the handle is built, you pretty much have to tear the thing up to get the beer out of it. it sucks :(

oh well, at least i'm enjoying two great beers.....pilsner urquell is just amazing...a rich malty, honeylike sweetness, and the delicate, spicy flavor and aroma of all the saaz hops.....

anyone who thinks lagers are boring and "all taste alike" should definitely try this.....

cheese is my absolute favorite dairy product. i always used to prefer orange and yellow cheeses, but lately my favorites are all white cheeses...havarti is the best, so rich and creamy! and monterrey jack and farmers cheese are good too.........and all sorts of others :D yummmm

i was inspired and decided to make enchiladas tonight....

sooooo......they're not veggy, but i anticipate high levels of deliciousness :p

i browned some ground beef in a skillet with a chopped shallot and a clove of garlic put through the press, and some fresh ground cumin and chili powder. i drained this and mixed in a bunch of fresh cut cilantro and a small amount of chopped black olives. into the mix also went a can of refried beans, so its primarily beef and beans. it was all mixed together and made great filling, but i seriously doubt it would pass for anything along the lines of authentic.

i rolled up the enchiladas and smothered them in a red enchilada sauce and sprinkled pepperjack cheese over it al

i am anxiously awaiting the beep from the timer....

i had some tortillas left and some filling and cheese and sauce left, so i made a soft taco in the microwave to hold me over till the enchiladas are done

i wish i had lime to have put in with it, but at least i had cilantro. i forgot how much i love that stuff! so bright and delicious

My mom made Paul McCartneys tofu enchilads from this celeberty veggie cookbook. They were the shit. And i felt like a rock star eatting them.
